After five minutes of those two whining the Hyena would be looking for something sharp to cut its paws with :deal
Israel Vasquez Vs Angel Priolo Izzy getting tagged way to often and looked hurt to the body in the 4th but stunned Priolo later in the round. Izzy got cut bad in the 7th after i think a clash of heads but done well to stop his man in the 9th after putting him down 3 times. The warning signs are there Israel Vasquez Vs Rafael Marquz IV horiffic cuts to Izzy. Glad he retired after this 1, although imho, marquez looked very sharpe in this fight
Yesterday I watched: Vazquez vs Kim - Vazquez looked impressive here. It's not hard to outbox the wild Kim, but to keep it up for 12 rounds and hardly get tagged is some feat. He's now suddenly one of the major players in the division. Garcia vs Lock - Garcia kept really composed throughout the fight and broke the gatekeeper Lock down. Impressive, but I would keep him away from the divisions top dogs for now. Mendez vs Reyes - Well Reyes offered little, but Mendez sticked to a gameplan and clearly won every round - also caught Reyes with a nice shot in the 1st round to floor him. Super feather isn't a strong division, so Mendez should get opportunities. Bracero vs Betancourt - Bracero is a fun little fighter. Scored his first stoppage in 11 fights in this fight too, flooring the over-matched Berancourt in every round other than the 3rd.
Julio Cesar Chavez v Edwin Rosario A systematic breaking-down operation from Chavez. I almost forgot what an intelligent fighter he was. Magnificent performance. Tonight I'm gonna watch his second fight with Uncle Roger. Watching Uncle Roger taking a beating should be fun.:deal
Jhonny Gonzalez.:-( That guy could have been good, I mean really, really good. Has a win over Montiel and was beating the crap out of Vasquez early doors. With hindsight it seems like the second half of that Vasquez fight really took a lot out of him. His punch resistance seems to have gone. KO'ing second tier dudes for fun at the moment, but I doubt he'll scale the heights again.
Agreed. He has the skills but I'm not sure he can maintain the pace he requires to win over 12 rounds against quality opposition.
Vazquez jr. vs Sonsona Margarito vs Johnson Margarito vs Cintron 2 Chisora vs Sexton Whitaker vs De La Hoya (113-114, **** quality though) Judah vs Santa Cruz Jirov vs Toney [109-118]
Tszyu v Phillips. What a great fight! A lot of excuses made for Kostya with regards that fight, but I think Phillips just fought a great fight. That right hand was landing all night.
