Calzaghe vs Reid (116-114) - I hate Calzaghe. He has to have the ugliest style of any top level professional boxer that I've seen. His show boating is some of the most embarrassing **** I've seen in boxing and he's an arrogant twat. There's a good chance I will never watch any of his fights ever again.
Steady on pal. Calzaghe wasn't to everyone's taste but he mastered that style of slapping up points and it was very difficult to deal with and it worked for him. Not everyone can fight like Joe, he did little subtle things as defence which only special fighters can do, people overlook how difficult it was to tag him at times.
I'm not saying he was rubbish, just that his style was terrible and solely aimed at 'slapping up points', as you say. And that his show boating is unwatchable for me. Not a fan.
Just got round to watching the couple of LHW title fights we had recently. Chad Dawson vs Jean Pascal - Well, we all know what happened. Pascal had a good gameplan and Dawson had nothing. Quite frustrating to watch him; he just didn't seem to want it. Got this fight horribly wrong. Tavoris Cloud vs Glen Johnson - Much more exciting fight. Similar styles so the fight was entertaining and fought in phonebooth for most of it. Cloud's youth and altheticism won out. Didn't score the fight but the result seemed fair to me.
Finally, finally managed to download Poonsawat - Cordoba...pretty decent action packed fight, I had it 115-113 Cordoba. Adamek - Grant ...Quite bizarre seeing a US fighter getting booed to the ring in the US with the vast majority of the crowd being Polish. What the fight demonstrated to me is that Adamek would seriously suffer against anyone with a bit of movement, power and ambition...If Grant had pushed it in the 12th he could have had the Pole out of there.
Wlad-Peter (Seeing as we appear to be posting scorecards now, 115-110) EDIT: One of Wlad's most entertaining fights, he boxed beautifully, the jab was functioning as well as ever and he landed some hammer right hands down the barrell, which Peter took. Moved well and generally looked like coasting to a win after 4 rounds. Changed in round 5 obviously as he was down twice. Got caught with a good shot and then hit behind the head as he turned on the first, and the second was strange aswell, was already going down as he ducked a Peter power punch and was holding onto Peter, in turn holding himself up off the canvas before a Peter punch put him there. But he got back to old ways after that, boxed in a composed manner, jabbing, linking it with more right-hands, stepping in with lead left-hooks and boxing a smart fight, mixing in a few lead right hooks to the body aswell and tieing up and leaning on Peter to wear him down. Worked as Peter was dead tired towards the end - although Wlad was tiring and obviously got put down in round 10 aswell. Overall, easy to see why Wlad won the fight, by doing what he does best. Kept his height knowing that he was always out of Peter's punching range most of the time yet able to land the straight shots that counted. Moved well and never allowed Peter to set himself. Took the left hook away aswell, impressed me when blocking it and circled away from it a lot. Peter was poor though, strategically he was way off. Sheer aggression, brute strength and power brought him 3 knockdowns, but he never really looked like winning the fight despite this. He did a number of things wrong that were picked up by George Foreman. As Big George said, Peter stood up tall and for that reason, he never made himself a more difficult target and got Klitschko to punch down and bring his hands down. Another thing Foreman noted is that he followed Klitschko around the ring. He didn't cut it off and he didn't move his head, as George said 'Klitschko is a boxer but also a puncher. You can't follow a puncher around the ring doing nothing or he's gonna nail you (or words to that affect)'.
One request fellas, instead of just listing the fights you've watched, could you please add a little commentary? just a few words on what might've cought your eye, anything you think the forum might find interesting etc. Doesn't have to be a deep analysis, although you can do that as well if you wish.

tony wilson vs brian schumacher II ,this fight was for wilson's british light heavyweight tittle wilson landed a good right hand in the third and down went schumacher face first ,wilson's edge in power was noticeable from the outset on the same york hall bill was pat doherty vs mo Hussein, this was for hussein's commonwealth lightweight tittle hussein was favoured for this one doherty was coming up from super-feather for this fight as in the wilson fight the defending champ for me held a advantage in punching power but doherty kept his gloves high more often than not and came through a couple of big shots .hussein and doherty both liked a fight and both were warned for head clashes in this bout in round 5 the hussein suffered a bad cut and referee van stopped the fight giving the underdog the win and tittle.
merqui sosa vs charles hollis , sosa had very little defence and from the outset this fight was a real hurtful type of fight , hollis gave a very good account of himself and at one point looked as if he may well get the win but the fast pace and eye damage had convinced hollis not to come out for the 4th round maurizio stecca vs pedro nolasco, this was the first wbo featherweight tittle fight and stecca had home advantage against an opponent he had beaten i think already in his amateur days and some at the time were a little worried that nolasco was not up to scratch for a world tittle shot . nolasco was outmatched skill wise in this fight but did give it a go but by the sixth was a beaten desperate fighter hurt and bleeding he had a point taken away for a butt this seemed to visibly take the will to fight away from him and taking a beating he turnerd away from stecca over the ropes facing the crowd and the ref correctly stopped the fight. on a side note as an AM nolasco beat sung-kil moon
khaosai galaxy vs tae-il chang , galaxy as usual walks his prey down like (michael myers) he knows he is going to land and is quite willing to take a few weak looking jabs to land his own bombs which he does in the second chang attempts to get up but he has no legs under himself and goes straight back down and the fight is waved over. khaokor galaxy vs chang hwan duk, duk is totally out of his depth from the outset in this fight this is obviously a no risk's bout to keep galaxy ticking over, you cant knock duk for being in the ring and trying but thankfully this is not a prolonged beating and galaxy wins by ko in the third. jimmy mclarnin vs benny leonard (H/L) , :-( battling battalino vs al singer , well i bet singer had wished they had got someone else to come in as a late sub for kid chocolate after this fight had finished. singer tried to box but battalino caught singer and he heavily went down then i started to laugh as i remembered what singer had done to survive . singer moved backwards as battalino moved in for the kill when i say moved i really ment leaned back and ran backwards around the ring then ran along the ropes using the ropes to change direction and duck under a big looking shot in a keystone cops kind of way, anyway singer survived the round but again took some big shots and was ko'd in the second
