Only Tommy Hearns comes to mind with the timing of leverage, generated G force and turned over gloves to create the perfect box at impact that Nunn showed. Okay, Okay I'm putting some top spin on it, LOL! but "second to Nunn" was brillient at his best, it's a pitty he didn't have a good head on his shoulders and is now incarcerated. :verysad Check out Toney vs. Barkley to see that bully Iran get schooled. I never forgave him for destroying Tommy. "Lights Out" Toney gave me his eye in that fight, even though i wanted his head.
Yeah i have been very impressed with nunn so far, i heard after the kalumbauy fight he fought different due to the quick ko? Was this so? I am not really a fan of Hearns, but i am a fan of Toney, and the showing against Iran is spectacular. Did he damage iran's eye?
Ramirez vs Whitaker 2 - 110-119. Great performance from Whitaker. McGirt vs Whitaker 1 - 113-117. Another quality performance from Whitaker, although McGirt was suffering slightly with his shoulder. Bowe vs Holyfield - 118-112
Ryo Miyazaki vs Katsuhiko Iezumi Antcull asked about Miyazaki before, but I hadn't seen any footage of him. Anyway, I was sorting through my DVD's and realised I had his latest fight against Iezumi atsch Good performance from Miyazaki, fast hands and has a decent dig on him. His defence is a bit open, and my fears of him cutting easily seem to be true. He had two small cuts over his left eye in this fight and 5 of his previous 13 fights have been either a technical decision or technical draw, most probably down to him being cut.
:good Nice one. Still one to keep an eye out for then. 5 out of 13 fights is an insane amount to be stopped on cuts :scaredas: Could be a big stumbling block for his future career. Good to have a guy up to date on the Japanese scene, you certainly sparked my interest in that Ioka. World title in his 7th fight maybe? His handlers must have massive confidence in him. Seen any of Ryosuke Iwasa? Is he regarded as big a prospect as Ioka and Miyazaki?
It's hard to tell if he is as highly regarded as Miyazaki and Ioka, but I don't think he had the fanfare of Ioka (who has been pushed on incredibly fast, his uncle is Hiroki Ioka, top amateur career etc.), or the TV exposure of Miyazaki, so I don't think his name is out there as much. Here's a little report of it: Bantamweight: Unbeaten ex-amateur champ Ryosuke Iwasa (8-0, 6 KOs), 117.5, displayed a very spectacular performance in dismantling much more experienced perennial top contender Kinshiro Usui (19-3, 9 KOs), 118, at 1:08 of the fourth stanza. Iwasa, a Hamed stylist, showed accurate southpaw combinations to the veteran Usui, battered him to the punch and finally pummeled him into submission. Certainly one to look out for :thumbsup
Yeah, he's not quite as erratic as Naz, but he does throw a variety of shots and has that swagger about him. His uppercuts are pretty deadly :yep

Watched the couple of Holyfield fights that were on ESPN Classic earlier (Qawi II and de Leon). Hardly the most exciting but also had a bit of a Wlad rewatch earlier today, seeing his fights with Peter, Ibragimov (skipped most..) Rahman, Chagaev and Chambers.
