Still makes no sense having watched it so many times! Nunn couldn't hit, Kalambay was a tough defensive savant. It was just one of those punches. I think Sumbu would've gone the distance nine times out of ten, but they only fought once. Worst thing is with a few rounds to get into it I think Kalambay would've won the fight.

All redundant now, but I still consider Sumbu the better fighter and more accomplished middleweight. Fair play to Nunn, an anomaly but what a shot :deal

    Get better soon mate!

Just watched duran v de jesus 1. Shame it wasn't for the title as I think de jesus might have actually been the better lw then.

Interested in watching some bobby chacon but dunno where to start. What would any of you guys say was his best showing?

Charles vs Johnson after reading somewhere on here that it was controversial. No controversy as far as I could see; some close rounds, but Johnson's jab is clearly the decisive factor which quite rightly edges him the win.

I did an Encyclopedia on Chacon and his era of super feathers.

I would say the 4th Limon fight is his best 'late career should've been past prime but brief resurgence fuelled by emotion' performance, bid his best 'physical prime that wasn't his physical prime because of his lifestyle and struggles with the weight' is his featherweight clash with Danny Lopez.

Both two of the greatest fights I've ever seen, no hyperbole. But my Arguello/Chacon/Limon/Navarette/Boza Encyclopedia piece is a gateway into some great fights if I do say so myself :yep :good

just watched Gamboa vs Ponce De Leon & John Murray vs Brandion Rios....Gamboa didnt impress to much in that fight just kept doing enough to be winning..Rios slugged it out with Murray and showed he was tougher

when they meet i predict Gamboa putting a beating on him..

Yeah I read that, good read. It's crazy how his career has a random split in it, bit like toney but less exaggerated

I'll give both a watch :good

Watched Rios-Acosta again. Jesus forgot how much of a beating Rios took in rounds 3/4, great fight. Hard to see which bits of the fight can be applied to the Gamboa fight upcoming. Acosta laid somewhat of a blueprint early and had great success but Rios showed uncommon chin, heart and pressure and in the last few rounds was exhibiting a much tighter defense. Worth a watch anytime.

Liam Walsh-Paul Appleby. How Walsh pulled that one out of the bag I'll never know. Great display of guts.
Kid Galahad- Jason Booth. Quite a talent is Galahad. Not sure if he'll be strong enough at the highest level though.

    Hector Comacho vs Edwin Rosario.

    Round 1 10-9 Comacho
    Round 2 10-9 Comacho
    Round 3 10-9 Rosario
    Round 4 10-9 Rosario
    Round 5 10-8 Rosario
    Round 6 10-9 Comacho
    Round 7 10-9 Comacho
    Round 8 10-9 Comacho
    Round 9 10-9 Comacho
    Round 10 10-9 Comacho
    Round 11 10-9 Rosario
    Round 12 10-9 Rosario

    114-113 Comacho

Really enjoyed this fight. Good high class stuff from both men. Comacho started off fast, taking the first two rounds imo. Rosario then started to time him with the right hand in the next two rounds and put the pressure on him, and then had Hector badly hurt with a hook in the fifth. Comacho had tried to brawl with Rosario in this round for the first time and it back fired on him. He managed to survive the round, compose himself and then work his way back into the fight fairly quickly. He got cut in the 6th round but this did little to hinder him. I had Comacho winning every round from the 6th to the 10th, by reverting back to boxing. Edwin was either tired from his rally in he fifth, and needed to time to get his second wind, or else he was biding his time till he could klaunch another big assault on Comacho. This assault came in the last two rounds, with Rosario once again hurting the macho man with a hook, although not as badly as in the fifth round. I had Rosario taking the 12th round aswell, making this a razor close fight. Comacho got the deserved victory imo.

Although ive seen plenty of Comacho's fights, ive seen little of him in his prime, and he was impressive. He should superb skills in this fight, power, handspeed, movement, countering ability and plenty of heart and toughness. I liked what I saw from rosario aswell, definietly a good pressure fighter and a huge puncher. Musrt check out more prime footage of both men.

    Wright vs Mosley II.

I had the same scorecard as in the first fight, 118-110 Wright.

Winky was such a good fighter, performed so well in the fights vs Mosley and Trinidad. Like a tank, hard to hit but yet he pressures effectively.
