The Zhang Zhelei appreciation thread

Hrgovic landed too many combos and was too active for Zhang but Zhang landed some BOMBS and I want to see him again, v competitive fight though.

 

I loved the heart he showed, despite being dead on his feet for the last 3 rounds, there was zero quit in him. I hope Zhang realises he was one or two good rounds in that fight from challenging for a title in his next, which would be a HUGE deal given he's Chinese. If Usyk and Fury retire after they clash, the HW scene will be wide open, so his chance my come again, and a lot quicker than he expects. I'll be cheering for him.

Zhang is a beast. Huge power in both hands, skilled and quicker than you'd expect. it's a shame he's already 39 but he still has a lot left IMO.

 

Ok sorry I misunderstood your post. I appreciate having a punt on a fighter for them to come through would bring loyalty.

 

Solid list. I know many give AJ crap on here but he's good to watch because he has power and some skill but is also vulnerable...that makes an exciting fighter to watch. If I then think of Fury who I do like he's literally had one fight (2nd Wilder fight) where he was actually a really exciting fighter. yeah some might state the third fight but really that was Fury not training and really being incompetant and making a meal out of someone he should have beaten even quicker. So yeah Joshua lost he's still a very comfortable top 5 either way.

 

I'm so proud of Zhang. He made all Chinese proud.

He lost, but he fought hard and gave his best shots. Looking forward to watch him fight again.

 

I'm on board. He has a fun style, and he taels the best fights he can get.
