"What he did as an amateur counts for nothing as the pro game is a different level. I'm a World level fighter so Frankie needs to fight these British fighters and earn the right to fight me"

"If I'm correct Frankie won an Eliminator for the Welterweight title so he needs to do another eliminator for the 140lb title if he wants to be my mandatory, as he isn't on my list when I make a voluntary - so he has a wait on his hands."

"I play by my own rules and I owe no promoter no favors as they have never done nothing for me.

"Originally it was a one off opportunity, but now I'm proud to wear and defend that title.

"I think Frankie was hoping it would be vacant come April, so that will spite him. It also means he will have properly qualify to challenge for it in the correct manner."

"I'm looking forward to defending it in style and proving I'm the top dog at light welterweight on these shores. And if that means stretching out Frankie Gavin in the process, then so be it."

"The offers are tumbling in now. I'm taking a holiday now and will consider all options against worthy challengers."

Where on earth did he get the idea he was a world level fighter?

There's a relative smorgasbord of talent on world and european level at 140 that would destroy Theopane.

The message is simple though. If Frankie wants it win an eliminator and become his mandatory.

Which is fair enough, I agree.

It's just the drivel about "world level" that annoyed me.

To coin a phrase from one of our posters, Theophane is a NO MARK.

He wants to be somebody and this is how he thinks he can do it.

Frankie shouldn't be in any rush to challenge for the title. There are other attractive fights out there Cook or Dawes would be ideal.

He can run but he can't hide.

He will have to fight him eventually

    Great statement from Theopane.
Makes me hungry for him to fight Gavin so I can watch Frankie batter him senseless.

I see he went to the Prince Naz charm school. Can't wait to see Frankie take this guy apart.

Theopane is seeing this from the wrong perspective.

His position is giving HIM THE CHANCE to fight Gavin and get a relateively higher pay day than normal. Gavin is going to get it either way due to the fact he has a high level of exposure. Theopane can either take the opportunity or fade into obscurity and irrelevance
