remember the op you ****s. "AVERAGE JOE" - not fight trained. now to me average joe means the guy hasnt fought before and sure as **** isnt some hardened street fighter. who has the best chance in a fight? someone who has experience of fighting. regular hard sparring and competing gives you that experience, to a degree. it's pretty simple really...
How? It was a boxer vs an average joe. You might think that a street fight is some jet li **** where everyone is flying through the air but that isnt it in real life.
Guy with training will be more composed in the middle of punches. How many times have we seen someone with little experience look panicky under fire? Not always. I will say though that sparring with someone who has some boxing training and throws straight punches is probably easier than someone who fights wild. It's like fighting yourself, on a lesser level.
Wha? Just saying a single video doesn't 100% prove anything on what's being discussed. You posted a video of a boxer beating the **** out of some guy. Nobody said that's impossible. I'm sure you could find a video of some guy dropping a boxer on his head and casually walking off like it was nothing. Point being both can happen, but as I said at the beginning, it depends on the individual.
When saying that it depends on the individual, you make it sound like it's 50/50. In actuality, most boxers who trained for a year would whoop most "average joe's". True, there are so many variables to take into account but what the op seems to be saying is that the boxer isn't some guy who slacks off in the gym. With most street fights, it comes down to who has the greater stamina. You could be against a faster/harder hitter but if your stamina is alot better than his then you will win the fight. A boxer that the op described has far better stamina than the average joe. To summarize. Yes, a boxer that the op described could beat an average joe. The average joe doesn't have much ground game if any and the boxer will win standing up because the average joe doesn't know any martial arts.
I agree apart from the "the boxer will win standing up". The boxer has a better chance of winning but it's not 100% guaranteed, which is all I'm saying.
