Theoretically could Dave Allen beat Joshua?

I think I would have to favour Allen if the two ever met. AJ is a big chinny robot that has been found out, its all been a myth. The 3 world titles and the wins over all of them top 10 oppositions was all lucky and he is shot. He is basically a superior race Price.

Allen is now a world level contender after stopping nebo, going life and death in a gas off with bracamore ffs and a body shot against Browne who sokolowski beat in a hotel a few weeks before, hearn is a magician selling this lad to the public

 

Absolutely, I really like Dave Allen, but the gap between him and Ruiz is about the same gap between Ruiz and a prime Mike Tyson. Its massive.

Ruiz feints, footwork, judgement of distance and quick combos were the reasons he got close up to Joshua (as you rightfully said excellent boxing fundamentals) Joshua was and still is a world class heavyweight, how people think you can just walk straight up to a boxer with that talent and reach advantage I will never know. If it was that easy every 17st plus man would have a chance against Joshua in a boxing ring lol.

 

A deck chair that sprang back up 4 times!! Dave Allen does not have the speed, the combination punching ability, the footwork or the output of Ruiz. Just to name a few reasons why he would have next to no chance v Joshua. Allen is a really tough man, Joshua is a big puncher but not really a 1 punch knock out puncher. That would be a bad combination as Allen would take serious damage over a prolonged period, were as a Wilder would knock him out early, so he would probably take less of a beating.

 

Ruiz is now the bees knees after beating AJ. Same people were completely overlooking him 3 weeks ago.

I don’t think he’s any better than Povetkin, Whyte or even Takam. He’s just got that little bit of luck needed to get him over the line against Joshua. I don’t know who will win rematch because Joshua didn’t look right but I don’t think he is anything special either and have always said it. Fact remains that the division is still truly awful except Fury.

Ruiz I don't think is better than a prime Povetkin but he's better than the other two mentioned.

"Luck" had nothing to do with it.

Joshua's style is that he's a big, stiff chainny robot with a poor jab, no stamina, who can't fight going backwards.

His plus sides are he has very good power, is good when he's on the attack and usually has Referee and Judge support.

Ruiz style was perfect for getting past AJ'S pitiful jab and as soon as he was up close, lurch had NO answer.

The ref and Judge support wasn't there, if that fight had been in the UK, ruiz wouldn't have been allowed anywhere near Joshua after the 3rd round and Joshua would have been given rest breaks every minute or so for hanging tape or "shorts falling down" or a wet floor or whatever other reason, and Ruiz would have been stitched up on the cards.

How you can call what ruiz did "luck" is laughable, he beat that big lummox from pillar to post and made him QUIT

I define the ref and judges being on your side as luck! It’s laughable that you don’t.

He’d already being exposed to the big chinny robot he is a few times but being let off by refs with Takam and even Parker wasn’t allowed to box his fight. Whyte who’s shoulder went and Klitschko who took his foot off the gas. I think that is also luck for AJ.

 

Whyte shoulder going (although him vs AJ is still 50/50 two bums going at it) was luck

Klitschko was just a shot old ghost of himself, I can't really call that luck

And I don't call Bbboc corruption "luck" either

I think you’re lucky to have people on your side.

Klitschko was past it but he put in an amazing performance totally different to the way he’d been boxing for ten years and would have stopped him had he not chose safety first when AJ was absolutely dead on his feet. That was also lucky for AJ in my opinion.
