robert won't hesitate to throw in the towel early this time. as long as rios doesn't get ruined in this fight, he still has a lot of wars left on him.

Rios wont get ruined, Robert has the heads up to lookout for Freddie Roach implanting rolled up tape between the fingers to create the high ridges that cracked Margarito's orbital bone.
Pacquiao's wraps wont be loaded as they were against Margarito! :deal

No, unfortunately, he really doesn't. Acosta, Murray and Alvarado all shortened his career by (at least) 2-3 years. That's probably why this fight is happening in the first place.
Think about it... why in the hell would you put someone like Rios up against a buzzsaw like Pacquiao(even coming off a loss) unless you knew his value was going to drop precipitously in the very near future?

The sight of Pacman face-first on the canvas is destined to endure, but few people have considered the opposite of him being damaged goods - that he would in fact come back as a more measured and thus better fighter.

Admittedly there is a slimmer chance of that, but at the very least we should expect a sharp Manny come November. It's difficult to picture him gun shy.

Pac power at 147 is not what it was in the lighter weights but he still can hit and Rios has been dropped by lesser fighters, i dont see Pac scoring a one punch KO but if Pac is still at at least 80% of his capacity he will give Rios the beating of a lifetime and maybe we can see a stoppage caused by accumulation of punishment. If Pac is damaged goods due to his last fight than Rios has a big chance of upsetting him but if i was to make a pick it would be Pac by UD or late stoppage.

You're right for once. The flailing midget hasn't knocked anyone out in 4 years and probably just woke up last week from when Marquez made him his *****.

he may not have the power to put Rios to sleep but he will smash his face up, no doubt.
Ref will probably stop the fight late due to Rios' chin not letting him get put away, but the accumulation of punch combinations showing up on his face.
It will be like the Margarito fight but Bam Bam doesn't have the weight to outlast the storm like Tony did.

The only time Rios has ever taken a knee was was from a liver shot early in his pro career. It was the first time and the only time in either his amateur of pro career. He did get up and stop his opponent.

A lot of people are underestimating Rios.

He knows how to block, parry, and slip punches... and, of course, he can bang!

He's a very good inside fighter with the heart of a lion and an indomitable will to win.

The problem is Rios will be stepping into the ring with an ATG -- Manny Pacquiao.

Unless Pacquiao is a greatly diminished fighter (and I don't think he is) he should take this by decision or a TKO stoppage.

I'm not expecting Rios to be KO'd, but it's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility.

Pacquiao was "sharp 'n tenacious" enough in his last fight to get put to sleep as if he were the heel in a Rocky movie.

    Lol...
