He his but people calling him a fraud is a bit too much he just got beat by probably the best fighter for the last 10 years no shame in that. Like I said in a earlier post people should not be slagging him off for fighting a man more likely to beat him than witter!

well, then...I guess the win doesn't mean that much for Mayweather. Neither does his victories over castillo (since he fought a lot of nobodies coming up the ranks). Neither does the victory over Corrales, then. Neither do his victories over Sosa, or N'dou for the same reasons.

Since Judah was so badly exposed in his previous fight against Baldomir, I guess that victory doesn't mean very much either. Neither, then, does the victory over Gatti...or the victory over DLH..or Baldomir...because they weren't up to your exacting standards.

Really, then...going by your logic...Floyd Mayweather Jr. hasn't fought anyone of note, then...has he?

Seriously...I have to question if you're really a fan of PBF, after all. After all, you're using the exact same language that his "haters" use.

    He didn't fight 39 nobodies.
Tszyu was Undisputed Champ and Top 3-5 P4P.
Castillo was rated around the top-10 P4P.
Maussa had just beaten Harris, who most people here said was "the man" at 140, even though they will deny it now (just as they will deny hyping Witter up when he gets his ass handed to him :yep)
Urango was a tune-up, but was still an undefeated fighter.
Collazo was a very dangerous opponent, and it was Ricky's first fight at 147.

Look, Ricky Hatton stinks. We all know that.

But the boy is the Great White Hope to the English trash who identify with him for racial reasons in a way they can't fully identify with a great fighter like Lennox Lewis.

When you are honest about Hatton's inferiority as a boxer you threaten the extended ego of British creepers who need Rickey in order to give their life meaning.

On the other hand while Calzaghe is overrated by the British he is underrated by the Americans. His resume is awful but he has boxing skill light years ahead of a nothing clown like Hatton.

But Calzaghe risks being KOed if he fights Pavlik. And although he is a far superior fighter to Hatton he could be knocked out even more brutally by Pavlik.

There is no doubt that there is a wierd and obsessive amount of hate around for Ricky Hatton. However I do believe that Hattons record was manufactured and lucky.

Question: Were you one of the people who was predicting Calzaghe to be KO by Lacy?

    Agree about Hatton, btw.

No. I never thought much of Lacy. I saw him as a muscle bound fighter with no real skill who did well against stiffs with no movement.

But I hadn't seen enough of Calzaghe. I knew he was quick and mobile. He showed that he was also smart. It was a great performance.

But Pavlik is nothing like Lacy. Pavlik is taller, longer armed, better straight puncher, smarter, more skilled with an unrelenting killer instinct.

If Calzaghe does fight him he must not be overconfident thinking that Kelly is another Lacy or that he has a weak chin because he was knocked down after a ton of flush power shots from Taylor.

The two might fight in the summer because Hopkins will want to fight Jones and Duddy's management knows he's not ready for Kelly.

I can see a Pavlik v. Calzaghe fight after Pavlik KOs Taylor again.

Hatton threads are like a honey pot for twats. Just get him on ignore. Makes life here so much better, as you know.
