Welcome to the madhouse. You'll soon realise that 70% of posts in the general are inane drivel posted by oddly motivated trolls and super fans.

If you can wade through that nonsense though, you can engage with some great posters who really know their **** - or can at least look at things rationally and explain whilst they see things differently without foaming at the most and hurling abuse at the disagreeing party.

It's got worse of late with this Shockmaster character hell bent on making anything and everything on this forum about GGG.

Hopefully he'll get the help he needs at some point.

But it's just stupid to go around making assumptions and accusations without actually knowing all the facts.

Yes Brook's career has been a slow burner that's how it goes sometimes (GGG, Calzaghe etc). That can sometimes happen when you are viewed as high risk/low reward and have some other bad luck.

Yes the clock is ticking but Brook is already the IBF champ and he could become unified champ in his very next fight so he is on his way and the big fights look very close.

Well he seems to have the respect of the fighters themselves,I swear though if and when Spence becomes his mandatory and we know 100% that Spence wants to take it then Brook better be ready cause Spence is a serious threat.
He's expected to go up in weight class anytime round then lol:roll:

Who expects him to move up in weight and how do we know Spence wants it any more so than Brook?

I meant it to come across as if we all know 100% that Spence wants to take that fight when he's mandatory then Brook better be ready.
My grammar is bad I know.
Kell Brook has already talked about moving up in weight, after his last fight him and Eddie Hearn did an interview about getting bigger fights,I think they feeling the heat from his last few mismatches?

    a. I fought in the ring and watched amateurs and pros for years. Pretty much every profession you've mentioned except cops and soldiers do not have to take repeated hits for a living. There is a reason most boxers sound re****ed. Their brains are quite literally damaged.
    b. All the professions you've mentioned get paid for 40 + years (against except soldiers and cops). Boxers have a short span during which they make any serious money - and that's one out of every 100 000. A boxer's prime is 10 years AT MOST, during which they need to make as much money as they can. After promoters, trainers, sparing partners, managers and the government have their way with the cheques, boxers are often left with a tiny fraction of their initial purse.

    c. If at any point in time any of the men in the professions you've mentioned gets hurt on the job and is unable to continue working for an extended period, he can go on disability/insurance. Boxers don't have that luxury. Some are lucky to be able to pay their hospital bills.

Vargas has been offered $2 mil and brook is taking less. Vargas has no reason not to take this fight. He won't get paid anywhere near that vs anyone else.

Does anyone here know when Brook's contract with Matchroom will expire?

Rios contract with Top Rank just expired, and i noticed that some fighters are hard to negotiate when their contracts are almost over.
