    As with UK law we have class A,B,C drugs we need the same in boxing....

    Canelo - clen =class c
    BJS - ephedrine = class b
    D.Whyte - Dbol = class a

    C = 1 year ban
    B = 3 year ban
    A = 5 year ban

    something like that

    Said something similar in another thread. Where a substance is injected like HGH a failed test should result in a lifetime ban. That is if they want to be serious about this. I’m still in the “let them do what they want because people will cheat anyway” category.

    That is a bit like saying do away with speed limits because 50% of people speed tho..

    at least now they are trying to trick the testers and mostly not getting in the ring juiced...

    You cannot let heavyweights get in the ring full of Tren

    Remember this is boxing , the WBA will want to introduce a Super Class A+++++ for Anthony Joshua and the WBC will follow suit by making Canelo it's inaugural EL Chapo franchise Champion.

    Definitely agree with your post. I think that anyone convicted of two failed tests for Peds should get a life ban.

    The punishment should also consider the following factors-

    1. The amount of the banned substance in the system.

    2. How was the substance ingested? There is a big difference between using a workout shake and using a needle.

    3. If this is a first offence then the punishment should be less than if it is a second or third offence.

    The testing also needs to get smarter and follow the biological blood passport that cycling now has. It is so easy to dope as a boxer and get away with it because of the gap between fights.

    Most of the top fighters are only fighting twice per year. They effectively have 6 months per year out of camp to go on holiday and do special training.

    Agreed. Even in the case where the OP is suggesting class. C , 1 year ban, even in them cases the meds/peds they are taking can have a massive benefit.
    Take for example clen as a cutting med. If the user was natural instead, he probably wouldn't be able to make that weight division without the clen and therefore he would be fighting in a higher division.
    He's giving himself a big advantage by using so called, lesser peds

    But where do you draw the line? There is a tolerance for drink driving tests and there has to be, otherwise we'd all be banned after a night on the beer.

    But the limit is a level where the rules says that you are competant to drive with that much alcohol in your body. Tests have proved that, that amount of alcohol in your blood stream has no relevance, and offers no disruption to your ability to drive, in any shape or form.
    Taking peds either in the fight itself or using it as an aid in your preparation for fight night, has an effect on your performance come fight night.
    You draw the line at zero tolerance imo.
    All the drugs on the banned list are there because they aid performance.
    If you can't acquire that same performance on its own merit then you should get banned for life if your caught.
    More stringent testing should be done including hair and nail samples.
    The extra funding needed to pay for this should be footed by everyone involved from the fighters to the promoters and t.v company's.

    You put Canelo below BJS? BJS was actually allowed to openly use his substance outside of the fight period in the UK. In no district besides Mexico is Canelo allowed to inject himself with PEDs at any time.

    I just read a thing on micro dosing where athletes can take doses small enough to not get caught the next day, but enough to repair muscles while sleeping that night. That's still cheating.

    Yes definitely cheating. They've probably found a way round the currant detection procedure.
