Things Commentators Say That Make You Cringe

    Whenever I hear a commentator (always the fellas who've never stepped in a ring) say "straight jab" or "left jab" for an orthodox fighter I feel a twinge of pain. A straight jab? And this is your job?

    The inability to tell when a punch is blocked vs. effectively landed is another.

    What are some general commentary annoyances?

    "Fighter B has to do more" ...

    Everything Larry Merchant has said or done. Yet, I miss that old wind bag, he knew how to really mind **** a fighter.
    He was like a boxing Jedi just saying whatever the hell he felt like and HBO was cool with it.

    When I hear the HBO commentary, any, except for RJJ, he had some good moments.

    Anything Sky says.

    Anything Mallinagi says.

    Anything Freddie Percheco said.

    Richie Woodhall always favours the long range boxer lol.

    Max Kellerman is annoying.

    Why can't commentators just call the fight instead of being a biased propaganda hype machine or going on minute long rants?
