We are all talking about who Pac could initially fight, but who the hell will PBF fight?

As much as I'm trying to hold on to this small amount of faith that I have for this fight being made...I think its official the fight will not happen...I thought it was all hype to build it even bigger but I guess its only a dream that I was holding tight to...I agree this was a major let down for the sport we love!:patsch

It's not tragic...I just think this is another step in turning the heat for Pac-Mayweather from a simmer to a rolling boil. It's still going to happen in '10.

This is news to me but.... Im disapointed but at the end of the day. Joshua Clottey deserves his shot and needs this fight more then Money. Money can fight anybody he wants. all he has to do is speak it into existence and people will flip through hoops of fire to fight him. weather its because of the check, popularity, legacy or because they honestly feels he can win nobody will turn down a fight with Money.
Clottey dont have this luxory. and he has been fighting and fighting waiting on hsi big payday.
this tells me alot about pac im disapointed in him

Yeah, 14 days looks reasonable. Same with 24 days. They're both reasonable. Floyd did admit the 14 day offer was before the mediation. Although it could also be something Floyd made up to save face. I remember they were adamant about the random testing up to fight night during that time. During the mediation, Pac proposed 24 days and Floyd did not counter. Hence, the Pac team felt it was time to move on.

They should just meet in the middle and call it 19 days.

Clottey is better than bradley, malignaggi, foreman and atleast pacquiao is facing a dangerous top welterweight, let's see what fighter floyd makes move up in weight to fight him. This will be pacquiao's toughest fight, because clottey has a very tight defensive guard, great counter-puncher,solid chin, very good handspeed.I think pacquiao will have hell with clottey, but i like both fighter's,so may the best man win,if pacquiao wins,it will set up a showdown with mosley sometime this year to see who the best welterweight of this era is.

Pac-Mayweather will probably happen sometimes in December of 2010. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather stepped up to fight Cotto. Most bullys prove themselves against weaker foes.

As a fan of the sport I think Pacquiao vs Clottey is a pretty damn good fight anyways. Pac vs Cotto in November, Mosley vs Berto in January, Pac vs Clottey in March.

    This division is on fire.

I never thought Mayweather was good for boxing. He handpicks fighters. I think Hagler and Hearns and Leonard and Duran were good for boxing because they fought everyone and the fights actually happened and people and their fan bases got behind the fights. You have to sign fights and fight greats to be regarded as great. Mayweather really does not fight the best and then plays games, and that type of fighter does not bring real fans to the sport. I thought boxing was better when he retired a year or two back. I hope he reretires, this stuff about almost signing and playing with people's minds is the thing he always does, regardless of people saying it is Pacman's fault-I knew Mayweather would not sign this fight. I was surprised when it looked signed. Floyd does not have confidence in himself. How is that good for boxing? I think his career would have been much better had he taken on the tougher challenges and had 2 or 3 losses. This way he just handpicked easier fights and played games and then has the audacity to say he is the best fighter of the decade. He really has not added much to the sport. Most all time boxing greats added to the sport. Floyd is not ATG. He could of been, but confidence and getting in the ring with greats is a necessity for being a great, not just having the skills.

Pacman has had a hard road in boxing. By the end of this year he might start to diminish which is probably what Mayweather wants, but at the same time people will be able to see how he has diminished and a Floyd win will not be as great. Floyd just hurt his legacy. Mayweather will not fight Cotto unless he thinks Cotto is totally washed up. I hope Mayweather retires. He is no good for the sport. He is all talk and negativity and no action.

Why the hell would I do that? Pac-Clottey is an amazing fight, a ****load more of a challenge than anything PBF has done since 135.

I'm supposed to punish myself because PBF won't get in the ring with Pac?
