What does Cotto bring that Mayweather has not seen?

 

I'd say Cotto brings everything Castillo brought but more off it and more speed and versatility in addition to it.

 

Mayweather TKO mid rounds ... accumulation of punishment or cuts ...

either the ref stops it or evangelista throws in the towel ...

 

Good ass video. The punches that Mayweather could really screw Cotto up with are not really his left hooks or lunging right hands, I think Cotto would be too aware and anxious to get hit by that. But When Cotto is on the inside with Floyd, the biggest thing he has to worry from Floyd is Floyd's accurate as hell uppercuts. If Floyd can juggle both defensive smarts inside causing Cotto to be inefficient with his offense, and also slipping in those sharp ass uppercuts they will offset and jack Cotto up. It's not really that Floyd has powerful uppercuts, Cotto was hit by better uppercuts from Judah and Mosley. But Floyd's uppercuts sting, they are just hard enough to get your respect and make you reset your brain everytime they land. Cotto is the toughest challenge Floyd would have faced so far in his career and he is going to have to deal with the best fighter he has ever faced at cutting off the ring and punching technique. No one Floyd has fought can punch with the technique that Cotto can, Floyd and Cotto - Their styles are like peanut butter and jelly. They're made for each other.

 

You seen Floyd's highlights ... were more two fisted ... and he has a larger arsenal of weapons.

Cotto has too short of arms and I never seen anyone have a reach advantage on Floyd other than Genero Hernandez ... when your arms are too short ... Floyd will keep you at the end of his punches ...

I think Floyd can beat Cotto on the inside too ... I don't think he's too polished on the inside.

Cotto's footspeed isn't up there with FLoyd's ...
