Not as long as I thought it would. If it wasn't for the 15 images rule, I would have added a good bit more.

Pacquiao did agree. Then he went to the Philippines and 'changed his mind'.

Exactly. Pac had initially agreed to the 50/50 split. Now, he keeps moving the bar. He already has a MUCH larger guarantee... even more than he made against Oscar. When his own promoter and trainer are dumbfounded by his actions, I think that it says a lot.

Maybe that same fat little Filipino Pac kept in the closet watching fight tapes is the same guy he has analyzing drawing power for Hatton and Himself :rofl

You know--I keep hearing this "respect" excuse and "what's due to him" and not to forget, "all the sacrifice and hard work" but you are only seeing it from Pac's side in this point.

Hatton is just as big a draw as Manny. It can be argued both ways but there can be no argument as to who would sell more PPV's in their home country.

Is it not DISrespect to ask a champ such as Hatton, who is a huge draw in his own right, to defend HIS title for less than 50%? Hasn't Ricky worked hard and sacrificed just as much? Didn't he also fight the best fighter in the world(PBF)?

Sure, Pac had the title of P4P#1 but that's not really a title he WON from the previous holder in the ring. And it's a tilte that Hatton CAN'T win merely by beating Pac. On the other hand, Pac CAN win Hatton's title. So Pac can gain a championship with a win but Hatton can't.

My personal opinion is that PAc doesn't want to risk this much and ruin a shot at PBF if he UNretires. If Pac thinks he's getting close to 50/50 in that fight he is truly insane. PBF will never allow purse parity with Manny--never ever. I'll even risk a week off here if Pac were to get 50% or more.

Pac has more to lose in this matchup, thus deserves a bigger slice of the pie for that very reason alone.

Not even close. I saw it coming a mile away. I actually used to defend Pac on here a good bit. However, I tell it how it is. Pac is absolutely ruining himself right now. Hatton wants it, and is more than willing to bend over backwards giving Pac more money to get it... the fans are screaming for it... but Pac doesn't seem to care about anyone now. I used to defend him for always taking on past prime fighters, saying that they were the best out there for him at the moment, ect... and now, here's the big chance. A chance to fight Hatton who stands on top of the 140 lbs division... at or near the top of his game... hungry... mega fight, huge money, huge interest.... and Pac seems like the only person in the world who wants to prevent it.

How come he could ask for a 50/50 when the fact that he called on Manny to fight (Manny beside being the #1 P4P fighter) and the bigger draw other than UK.

Maybe Hatton is just maximizing the benefit that he could get in exchange for the humiliation that he expect from Manny's hand.

    This is how negotiations went

    Pacquaio - whos next
Arrum - why not fight Hatton
    Pacquaio - whos Hatton
Arrum - a fat drunk who got ko'd by a turnbuckle in his last meaningful fight with lots of fans but was scared to prove himself the best in the North of England but has lots of fans and no defense
    Pacquaio - whats the point?
Arrum - lots of money, the English love a plucky loser
Pacquaio - well I make lots of money anyway but OK if I get 60-40 I'll give him a shot at my P4P no1 spot
