    It was a glorious day in late August 1987 when you knocked out the insanely hyped Mark Breland on ABC

    I had followed you since 1984 and knew you had a shot, but the outcome was even better than I had hoped.

    I couldnt watch the fight as my parents made me go to the beach that weekend and we didnt have a TV - we were camping out.

    But I heard the result on my transistor radio that picked up a CBS News report of the result.

    I hope you're doing well and thank you for posting on this fine board.

    Welcome! I looked forward to hearing about the other side of boxing the fans seldom see or are familiar with. Along with stories of Nunn, Breland, and Honeyghan when the time is right. I like your speed and accuracy with the hook ( to the head and body ), your combinations and of course your defense!
