Marlon It was a glorious day in late August 1987 when you knocked out the insanely hyped Mark Breland on ABC I had followed you since 1984 and knew you had a shot, but the outcome was even better than I had hoped. I couldnt watch the fight as my parents made me go to the beach that weekend and we didnt have a TV - we were camping out. But I heard the result on my transistor radio that picked up a CBS News report of the result. I hope you're doing well and thank you for posting on this fine board.
Hey, Champ. Did you think you beat Mo Blocker? I thought you did. Why did you hang them up after that fight?
Welcome! I looked forward to hearing about the other side of boxing the fans seldom see or are familiar with. Along with stories of Nunn, Breland, and Honeyghan when the time is right. I like your speed and accuracy with the hook ( to the head and body ), your combinations and of course your defense!
Hello Everyone this is Tim Witherspoon’s marketing director. We are helping Marlon get set up with the online world. We are going to try and have him answer your questions in a video, because he doesn’t know how to navigate a forum yet to answer questions in text. So stay tuned
Put the Starling Stomp at the top of the list please, haha. It’s something unique to Marlon and I’d like to know its origins and how he came up with it … when and why he used it.
