Cotto wouldn't even get inside nearly enough for his body work to have an effect. When has body punching ever even slowed Floyd down? He took Oscar's body punches while smiling, literally. He'll have much more trouble than Oscar closing the distance because of his size (Floyd also has a 5" reach advantage).
there is a difference between oscars pitter patter flurries and cotto's punches, and anyways since when did oscar become a body puncher?
He'll have less trouble because of his jab and he is more active. Also, DLH was throwing flurries to the body that were very sloppy. Cotto at this point is more accurate.
Cotto may be more accurate but it's hard to believe Floyd is going to be in front of him long enough to get more than one solid shot in. I don't care if Oscar resides in the "body puncher" category; hes physically built much larger than both Floyd/Cotto and carried one punch knockout power at 154 pounds. Cotto is particularly vulnerable to straight counter punches also. Why arent you concerned about Floyd's body punching? Nobody else mixes up combinations like Floyd and it was certainly effective against Oscar, Hatton, Zab, and Mitchell.
oscar being bigger has nothing to do with it, cotto and oscar have 2 different styles, i dont know if you have seen cotto or not but he isn't just a good body puncher, he has it all, speed, power, jab, left hook, a straight right, he can also counter punch.
Sounds really LOGICAL but at the end of the DAY it's still HYPOTHESIS. NoT yet proven. This is a blockbuster fight. I hope it happens. I know Cotto is Calling PBF but so far NO reply or acceptance yet from PBF. I wonder why? Your guess is as good as mine. Your points of view maybe logical in essense but I'd still hope Cotto can upset PBF! Cotto may appear stronger but he is still an underdog when he fights PBF. As a matter a fact whoever fights pbf is an underdog..
