...doesn't change the fact that your little literary attempt was embarrassingly pompom-wielding ***gotry. :good
I dont understand this either. Why he has to **** on Pac? He delivered a great fight didnt he? Why TS is ranting about how great JMM is if he think Pacman is a fraud that has cherry picked? It diminishes the value of JMM win. Great fight, even greater victory for JMM.
Congrats Isal. It's a fantastic victory for JMM, Mexico and boxing. JMM never gave up and he finally reaped the benefits of winning in a convincing fashion
JMM is such a G, he makes me want to be Mexican to feel this victory even more than I do now. HOPEFULLY young fighters coming up in Mexico will attempt to emulate JMM's style, which is just the great science through and through. Hell of a champion. I didn't think he could KO pac like this, it was phenomenal. Yes he was a Cherry pick in the 3rd fight, everyone thought pac would destroy him. But he pretty much wins that fight by putting on a clinic, and yet he loses somehow and people just accept it. Then the 4th fight, Marquez leaves no doubt who is the king of their series.
You think, that after Marquez gave Pac one of the hardest fights of his career and imo beating him in the 3rd fight, that this 4th fight was a cherry pick by Pac? You know, many many fighters, when they meet the fighter that is their kryptonite, avoid subsequent fights with said opponent, ESPECIALLY when that opponent is not a boxing star themselves (as you pointed out yourself, JMM wasnt). They chalk it up to a bad night, wrong opponent, and move on with their career, never giving the guy who ran them to the edge another shot... let alone 4. Their first fight - tough for Pac Their 2nd fight - tough for pac Their 3rd fight - toughest for pac And you think him choosing to give JMM a 4th fight was a cherry pick? Pac should be credited with getting into the ring so many times against the guy who is so obviously his foil, in attempts to show the world who can put an (!) on their rivalry. Instead of having just a small bit of class towards Pac for actually getting in there with a guy everyone with good boxing IQ knows is his foil, you degrade this fight by trying to label Marquez as a cherry pick. :-( Among the many other wrong statements in the initial post. Pac knew this fight was one of the toughest fights out there for him, he chose to fight the guy again who many felt just beat him.... instead of just turning a blind eye to a controversial chapter in his career as many fighters do when they get controversial decisions. There was nothing cherry picking about it.
As for the thread, it is a huge, historic win. The most meaningful victory in a long time imo. Props to Marquez, a man on a mission. He would not accept anything less.
My mind is simply still buzzing from this fight, but its hard to think of a recent win more significant then this one, given the nature of the outcome.
That ***** Floyd never got in the ring with Manny... It took a roided up version of JMM to finally dethrone the King!
8 years... Don't act like its not strange that out of all 3 fights that went 12, NONE went in favor of JMM, despite him performing better... "Sorry Juan, it's just business".... -Bob Arum If you can't see how Pac's opponents were extremely carefully picked after all these years, then I don't know what to say to you... They always waited on JMM to get old, but JMM refused to get old because since 2004 all JMM had been after was that W against Pac. 8 years of JMM chasing Pacquiao and getting low balled... He even had to go to the PI to chase after a rematch... Had this gone to the score cards, based on the other fights, its likely JMM would have gotten ripped off again. Was JMM a cherry pick? The time they waited for the rematches definitely was. And this made the victory that much sweeter... Old man JMM went in there on e again with the better plan, but this time Pacquiao did not have the help from the judges... Congrats JMM!
Nothing to do with my post Nothing to do with my post, in fact.... its so far off the radar it literally has nothing to do with anything ive said. You are missing the point and being over emotional about this. Fair enough, it was quite an emotional night, for myself too as a boxing fan. But you are missing the point. Its not about that Marquez could have gotten ripped off again, its about this wasnt a cherry pick.... and Pac deserves credit for even making this epic rivalry happen, when many fighters like to look the other way of their kryptonite. Pac not only didnt look the other way, he went at it.... again, again, and again. You feeling the need to spin that, and twist it into a negative says something. This fight was one year after Marquez beat Pac in the eyes of many. One year. You want to talk about how the third fight was a cherry pick? By all means I will be quiet on that. But once it was shown that Marquez is still very much alive, and still very much Pacs peer, if not moreso, in that third fight..... for Pac to be beaten in the eyes of so many and to come back the following year to face the same guy to settle it, instead of just waiting for the Rios fight, is a credit to Pac. Any spinning of this is just dishonor to the beautiful, historic night that just happened. Indeed.... congrats to JMM and to his fans that have supported him :good
