Fair enough, but it will always be the underbelly of sports entertainment due to it's barbarity.

Agree to disagree. I clearly won't be changing your opinion and you surely won't be changing mine. Nice talking to you homie.

To be brutally honest, all I see is savagery. How can there be in any honour and dignity in fighting and scraping around on the floor like a bunch of wild dogs?

I like MMA in the more professional old fashioned way like in a ring similar to m-1 challenge. I think UFC can give a bad impression of MMA with the way it's produced.

I do feel the UFC production is too ''samey'' at this point and i miss the stadium events like in the old pride days with the stacked cards is what i think they need. Add more professional ''look'' and design. Maybe an outdoor event or two once and awhile.

The whole thing just feels worn out and in dire need of a refresh like ending the reebok deal which will give the individuality back to the fighters. A better commentary team without Joe Rogan. Rogan smokes too much weed and some of his commentary recently has been ''wtf'' indeed. Dominick Cruz makes for a good analyst/commentator.

Because there is 100% a method, a gameplan and an intelligence to ground fighting just as there is in striking. I'm 6'4" and 180lbs. My first day at an MMA gym I was choked out by a 120lb middle age woman. I was 19. Tell her she has no dignity or skills. The ground fight while off putting at first, is just as deep a chess game as striking. Through good technical skill power can be overcome easily.

When you get two well trained athletes whose skills are the only thing keeping them out of the hospital. There is dignity. There is honor.

The Greeks, those founders of philosphy, the Olympic games indeed history disagrees with you.

The mob has always wanted blood and will always want blood - we just had to get used to seeing it on TV.

    Good stuff.

We had one of our women boxers / Muay Thai fighters travel to Algeria on holiday, really good fighter, hard puncher. Mouthy travelling companion got her in a bad situation at some street festival boxing tournament and she was forced to get in the ring - she knocked out the first guy and they got really angry, demanded a second bout. Went hell for leather, win for her again by KO.

Idiots, a complete boxing novice making his boxing debut against one of the greatest boxers of all time who also has an iron chin took Floyd in to deep waters. This only amplified Conor's reputation.

Conor was never going to outbox May, so how is this news?

theres a such thing as a lucky punch moron, theres no such thing as a luck choke or a lucky armbar, you clearly never grappled you sound like a old balding man.
catch up to the times grandpa you trying to discredit grappling is hilarious.

Who said anything about lucky punches or lucky chokes?

Do not put words in my mouth. The times are with boxing which is why you find yourself registering on a boxing forum to post butthurt drivel while throwing in a multitude of excuses as to why Conor - who is UFC's one of greatest ever fighters - was made to look like a back alley fighter.

The bottom line is, MMA will forever be in boxing's shadow and will never be able to produce as many legends and their fighters will never earn as much money or credibility as boxers.

What do you expect? He has to cater to meatheads who are mesmerised by size and brute force. I mean they are fantasising about having a division which includes men from tough men competition and The Game of Thrones.

Dude get over yourself. You have nothing to do with the fight last night so stop acting high n mighty and ****. Conor is a back alley fighter, wtf? He had how many rounds to prepare, how many pro fights? Oh yea, he had no record and was licensed specially for this fight. And this back alley fighter took it to Fluid, probably won more rounds than any other fighter and didn't get KO'd and really lost it due to incredibly pathetic stamina.

Fluid maintained the line for Boxing, but barely. Conor acquitted himself better than anyone could have imagined, or anyone sane that is. Yea, Fluid won, but I'm not sure how proud he is of that win.
