IMO, the mexican national anthem should always be sang by a male singer. it just dounds better that way. r kelly killed the star-spangled banner when he sang it. i actually like james taylor's version in the nba finals. simple is always good
No that is completely BULL**** Say that to Felix Trinidad, Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao, Every great Mexican fighter, and the Brits! ETC ETC, These people fight to represent and put their country's name on top of their sport. Personal gain? Please!
Could I just pipe up and state that the tune of Star Spangled Banner is that of an old "well to do" English Drinking song, and was written by an Englishman. Most people probably know that anyway, thanks.

Why do you think the most popular sporting events are the World Cup and the Olympics...:huh
the world cup is popular because the sole purpose of it is to represent your country on the biggest stage of all without making huge financial gains like you do when you play club football. you are playing for your country, to win a tournament for your country. you win the world cup/euros/copa america you're winning it for your team/country. you win a boxing match, you're winning it for yourself. boxing is not the same, you think a fighter gives a **** about his country when he's having his head smashed in? please....
I love hearing the national anthems. It adds fuel to the fire in your heart. The anticipation, fear, excitement, and adrenaline plus your country's song makes you feel crazy. (the good kinda crazy) Yeah. Those amateurs singing the US anthem makes it sound bad. We used to also have the same problem too. Singers kept on making their own interpretations to the national anthem. They made it r&b style. But they were told that they were not the star of the show and they were not performing in a concert. The song was the star, and the singer's role is to just help lead everybody sing the song together, in unison. :thumbsup That song's so badass, and I dont even understand the lyrics. :good
The worst was R. kelly stepping to that ****. I must admit I ****ed alot of women to that Sex offender music. But that was horrible I think it was for the JT VS Hop fight
God save the Queen along with England true anthemn Land of Hope and Glory!!! The greatest anthemns ever:yep Remember the sun never set on the British Commonwealth:yep
are you people insane? god save the queen is a dull, depressing sack of ****. it does not represent this country and it's people one bit, bill bailey put it best... "God our gracious queen? Why would we invoke a ‘non-specific’ deity to bale out these unelected spongers?"
National anthems just cool down fighters that got well warmed up for a tough hard fight where may i add they are putting thier life on the line. Make it all done and dusted before they come to the ring.. Then all they have is intro's , referees instructions and get out the ring to all but combattants , and Ding.. The whole thing just labours an exciting event.. No place for em really... Its just bull... especially the time trusted tradition of doing the referees anthem too.. Joe Cortez.. (go suck a dick..)
