Its irrelevant. My own eyes is all that matters to me.

Are you goinbg to say Able Sanzhez is wrong like the time you said Chris Byrd was wrong about what he weighed vs Vitali?

Yeah, you're gonna have to let that one go.

Team GGG okayed a pool of judges from which the judges were drawn. Apparently that's abnormal but it was done in order that they'd be satisfied that the promoter wasn't "picking the judges."

They okayed a big money fight too, with an understanding that Byrd was out. What do you think about the majority of the media cards, 79% of which had GGG as the winner? Does that tell you anything? I think that tells the story of what happened.

I agree. The first fight was most certainly a robbery imo. Even if Golovkin didn't look particularly special or impressive, I thought he clearly won more rounds than Canelo.

The second fight was different. I scored it as either a draw or a narrow Canelo win. I thought there were arguably 5 or 6 rounds that could have been even though, so I don't have a problem with those who think Golovkin deserved a narrow win. His jab wasn't nearly as effective as the HBO crew made it out to be though, and I thought there were only 3 rounds that he clearly put in the bag.

I think it's clear as day that Canelo landed the better punches in the first. In fact, I think the difference was bigger in the first, since GGG landed more good punches this time around.

Fair points, I might be a little harsh.....I had the first fight a draw and canelo winning by a round or two in the rematch, however I would not have a melt down if he would have gotten the nod.

Its irrelevant because you don't understand the business of boxing. Byrd was 210 3/4 pounds, I have no issues with his weight for that fight.

Yes, I admit that's pretty strong. 75% is something like the tipping point for me. I'd like to see the cards separated into ringside and other before I allow it to decide the matter for me, but I agree that the media scorecards are relevant.

Joshua is favourite and deservedly so, he is 10 years younger, bigger ,stronger, and hits harder. he will get
£20 000 ,000,Povetkin £6000,000 they will box in front of 80,000 .Wilder got what for Ortiz $2000,000 and he couldn't get more than14,500 asses on seats for that fight!

Povetkin is done, stick a fork in him...............it would be a embarrassing loss of epic proportion if AJ would loose that fight..........Povetkin got the gig because he is way past his expiration date.

I broke down the score cards. The judges gave Canelo all the close rounds, and some of these rounds he was out landed in. One judge gave Canelo the 12th, otherwise we have another draw. As I said before, if this was a fight with no film, Golovkin has a clean " news win " on Box Rec.

In an odd way the failed drug test might have worked a little in Canelo's favor, as it added months on to GGG's age, who I think has been in decline for a few years.

Boxing is more of an event that a fairly officiated sport. Boxing fans just have to accept that or not watch. The judging for a golden goose younger promoter's fighter is NEVER going to let him lose on points, unless its a clear beat down or stoppage. At least the fight was a good one.

He got the gig because Wilder and Joshua could not agree terms and Povetkin is number 3 and only has one loss on his record.

    Into ringside and non-ringside?

    That's just silly.

You've taken this extremely hard

I think Joshua should be the favorite, just not 10-1 or better which he is in gambling web sites. The UK has good fans, they will pack the house no matter who Joshua is fighting...or if he keeps pulling wins like he did vs Takam or Parker maybe they won't.

Povetkin even at age 39 is better then these two, and won't opt out of a fight. He's got some old school intangibles and heart. Like most big fights in boxing this one should have happened a few years ago. His legacy is not on the line, AJ's is if he doesn't win.

Let's say we take Bokaj's definition of good punches and say Canelo landed more of "them". You would agree he landed far fewer punches than GGG did the first time around. Regardless of this fabled "good" punches. He was literally outlanded almost every single round of that fight and sometimes double the amount. In order for you to overcome such a disparity, you need more than 3 good clean punches a round, backing up, and shaking your head. That isn't how you win rounds consistently
