Didn't look like eubank Jnr that I remember. I liked the old eubank, wasn't the greatest boxer but a warrior with hand speed and dangerous.

He looked like he was trying to imitate Roy Jones albeit very poorly.

On that display he's not world level. Billy Joe if he has anything left would box his ears off and canelo would take him out in 3 rounds.

The eubank of old would have finished Williams when he had the chance.

At 32 years old I'd say he's done as world title contender. But he will get a few more pay days yet no doubt.

That's what I thought. And are we just seeing RJJ simply trying to re live his youth.
A other question, how good really is RJJ as a coach? I defo think he's added something to jnrs game but he shouldn't of fought the entire fight like that. Add a bit in here and there I agree but not the whole fight trying to reenact how Roy used to fight.
I started getting bored after half way tbh and without them knockdows it would of been much closer on the cards.

For those criticising Eubank, look at Williams instead.

He chin was awful. I said before the fight the funny thing about the 2 of them is that Eubank is the tougher out the 2 but you wouldn’t think it if you looked at them both.

I thought it would be a great scrap for the first 8 rounds but there was such an obvious gulf in class it made the fight boring.

I think we can only hope that when he comes up against someone good and it doesn’t work (which it wouldn’t), he reverts to type. One of my favourite fighters to watch before RJJ got involved.

He looked very good early on. The timing of the counter shots was perfect tbh. Would have liked to see the KO and I don't like all the taunting but it's a good solid win, in a hostile atmosphere.

The crowd was a hindrance. Williams loves the hardman warrior persona. His ego just wouldn't allow him to box while being taunted. Eubank played to the crowd perfectly, he took the hostility and heaped huge pressure onto Williams ego

I don’t think you can judge him on that performance. The fight was won in the first 2 rounds. He didn’t have to do much and he knew it. It would have been nice if Williams could’ve dragged him in to some deep waters and make him fight for the winner but he simply just wasn’t of the level of Eubank (whom I actually don’t rate too highly also).

Supposedly injury but it coincided with him linking up with Booth.

The Jnr of the Blackwell and Spike fights would have got a stoppage

This narrative that he was comfortable so stayed in first gear is absolute rubbish. Remember he did the same against Degale, he doesn't have a load of gears to go up, he hasn't properly stopped someone in nearly four and a half years, he looks a little gaunt at middleweight too. Once Williams settled down he was able to outbox Jnr and had that 11th round push not been judged to have been a knockdown it would have been far closer on the cards than it ever should have been because Jnr quite frankly isn't that good. He said he wanted to punish Williams, he lost 6 or 7 rounds, that's not punishing anyone.

Eubank junior is entertaining at times in his career but will never be near a World Title unless a Bepe Di Marco type is reeled out after winning a vacant title.

People expect him to be exactly the same level as his father after all his verbal build up during his career but he simply does not get close.

His main achievement is becoming a two time face of Box Office on ITV and coming soon Sly Sports.

Eubank Jr. vs Williams went as expected. I think it was an approved event by Boxxer with 2 good fights.

First and foremost I thought the fight was rubbish. I was rooting for Eubank because the Welsh insisted on making it a Wales vs England fight rather than two Brits duking it out.

After four or five rounds, I was hoping Williams would land that big shot and knock Eubank out cold. A bit of posing and showboating is more than fine but I thought that he fought a terrible, boring fight. His performance was nothing to write home about, he did just enough to get the decision because I had Williams winning 5 or 6 rounds on the trot at some point.

The sheer disrespect Eubank showed after the fight was appaling. Williams applauded Eubank when he got the decision and he didn't even acknowledge him before destroying him in his post fight interview.

We gave Wilder grief on the account of not shaking Fury's hand after their last fight. Now Eubank is doing the exact same thing here, acting like a total pillock.

I hope someone sparks this Roy Jones Jr. rip off sooner rather than later.

Some people are going on like Eubank Jr completley outclassed or battered Williams and that's total BS, Williams won at least 5 rds and was actually schooling Jr at parts.

I wasn't quite expecting to see him fight like that. I thought he'd revert to type and plant his feet. Its good for him that he's picked up some level of being able to fight on the back foot, I just felt he should have been told to mix it up a bit.

I mentioned it in the RBR, but Juniors physique looked completely different, like he'd lost loads of muscle mass.

    Bizzare fight
