Rewatching it on the flat screen tv, I saw a slightly different fight then when I streamed it on my smaller computer screen the week before. I have no problem with a draw, as I had Canelo 7-5 or a draw. I don't have a problem with Golovkin 7-5 either. Byrd's score was a turd. The official draw, was a fair score though. I initially thought Golovkin was robbed, at the conclusion of my first viewing.

There were some either way rounds. Luckily for Golovkin, Canelo brought his bad gas tank with him from 154. Golovkin isn't the boogey man that people thought he was. The trouble that he has with slickness makes me think that Pirog would have done a number on him had his back never canceled their fight.

    9-3 Golovkin.

Easy fight to score, Canelo landed some flashy combinations and used excellent upper body movement but he didn't throw enough.

Meanwhile GGG was very consistent in every round and alot of Canelo's combinations was blocked on Golovkin's way in.

Good fight but Canelo lost and Golovkin obviously isn't 32 anymore.

The only reason Max Kellerman got the HBO gig is because he is a jew. HBO is run by Jews.

Oh, and GGG won that fight 9-3. You can have GGG winning by 8-4 or 7-5 if you want to GIVE Fraudnelo rounds that he didn't win.

I agree wholeheartedly with this view and cannot understand how anyone who is objective could see Canelo winning, understand that he was out-landed in a majority of the rounds. I could see a biased fan seeing for Alvarez, but not knowledgeable salty fans who have seen decades of boxing.

It was certainly not an easy fight to score. G wasn't consistently landing if that's what you mean. He was consistently throwing basic, predictable punches and mostly missing his punches. Canelo was using his excellent upper body movement to avoid and block G's punches, and Canelo came back with the most eye catching punches.

I should point out that Canelo didn't lose even if you think he did. The fight was declared a draw. Canelo outboxed G, not in spurts, but in totality. G was more consistent if you’re talking about throwing punches and just “being active”. But Canelo was more consistent in terms of landing hard punches throughout the bout. You have to set up your punches to surprise your opponent.

If you’re the guy coming forward and being so-called consistent, then you’d better be landing punches and stopping your opponent from using his footwork to set up the bigger punches. G wasn’t able to do that, he was not able to stop Canelo from generating his offense. He wasn’t able to land to the body, he wasn’t able to land any really big earth shattering punches on Canelo.

It was close enough to where a draw is reasonable, given the difficulty of scoring the bout. But if you’re scoring it on who was consistently landing the better punches, the winner was Canelo. We can debate who we thought won the bout, I can say Canelo won, you can say G won, but at the end of the day whether we like it or not, the fight was declared a draw and that warrants a rematch.

I had Canelo winning because he landed by far the biggest, hardest, most eye catching punches. He also landed way more body punches. Explain to me please how I'm biased for scoring the fight for someone who landed the better and more impactful punches.
