I agree with Vic about Herrera and definitely Rose, I would put Chucho Castillo in there before Zamora.

If I was looking at Rafa (borderline IMHO...I would definately have Lupe pintor in the conversation...To me i would place him above rafa, and he warrants a conversation from 11-15...I wouldn't even be outraged if he cracked someones top 10 list although I think that would be just a tad high!
Well Dixon and McGovern's 'featherweight' work nicely translated to modern day 'bantamweight'. I'm sorry but I cannot stand for the likes of Orlando Canizales, Jeff Chandler, Rafael Marquez, Nonito Donaire being mentioned above the 'greats' of the division (if they have been, ain't really read the thread TBH)
Chandler is CRIMINALLY OVERRATED for ****s sake!!! This is insane, a few posters are raising him from a good titlist to an ATG bantam' and I won't stand for it. Luf, he ain't, and Philly, stop being biased.
Agreed. Zamora wouldn't make a top 50. If it was 'punchers' he'd arguably be top 10. I really rate Rose but most of his best wins (Sakurai, Rudkin, Chucho) were ultra close but then again you'd expect that with the era. Still pisses all over Chandler's record.
How can I rank him against top 126lbers when he's a 'featherweight' in name only? Nahmsayin'? I agree they're hard to rank, but going on weight those boys were at ther best around 8 1/2 stone.
I love my Philly fighters...I also think that I am rational enough that I don't unfairly rate them too high (Although I did 6 years ago)....But I have not seen very many who rate him above 8-12. A handful do but certainly not the majority...Perhaps this time my friend, it is you who (In hating Chandler) is the biased one....I respect your opinion and insights so this time we will just have to agree to disagree!
I would say some more names to seriously consider are: George Dixon Johnny Coulon Owen Moran But that's going back a bit.
