Yep...with a better trainer then his last one by far...and also away from home comforts that aren't positive for him. It's a good move...but up to him to make most of it!
Good to get away from his fans which make him think he's already the best. Also, Facebook should be confiscated from him.
Dunno how well he'll do, tbh. He was full of excuses after his last fight, unlike Tony Bellew who admitted he had been awful. He just looks so limited. Can only be a good thing he's away from his North East huggers because they were blowing some serious smoke up his ass: he's already started referring to himself in the third person.
He's a really nice guy it seems and cares a lot about boxing. His first couple of pro fights I thought he was a seriously top prospect but he has gone down hill a lot but maybe he's just found the lack of challenge put in front of him a hard transition since he was fighting the best amateurs in the world. It might be purely a psychological thing so now that he has something to prove again he might get back to his A game. Who is training him or has that not been decided yet?
At this stage, it's hard to see Jeffries doing anything special in boxing. That's why a move to the states is probably the best thing for him right now. Who knows how much he'll kick on, it could be just what his career needs. I wish him the best. He seems like a decent fellow and definitely has potential.
The states is the best place for Jeffries, he needs a new trainer. Jeffries is starting to look short of ideas and needs to learn some new skills. I dont think the olympic fame has done him any good to be honest.
dont think its gonna make much differance tbh.think hes a average fighter with average skills.seems like a nice lad tho .
I think he'll be a world champion. I think he has a good skill set that he neglected a little fighting walkover opponents. I think a trainer like brooks will bring out his skills more. Having an experienced conditioner is likely to be very helpful too. Bobby is a fine trainer you only have to look at how he's done with Brian Rose, jack Arnfield and Kieran Farrell, johnny kays. I do think however that Tony will improve due to the fact he's away from home and can concentrate on boxing banubula was a great wake up call! Don't forget Robin Reid had a far inferior draw with Danny juma!!!
jeffries had his chance when he was training with gallagher in manchester. jaffa was moaning saying he was bored and had no life but isnt that what dedicated athletes live like??? then he fired gallagher to go back to sunderland so everyone coulld blow smoke up his arse and tell him how great he isnt!!!! he's already finished im afraid
