for those of you who have HBO on demand there is currently a special on the thrilla in Manilla. Its worth watching and one of the finest boxing documenteries out there.

Its a chance to see the heart and Grit of Joe Frazier who Im sure is in all our prayers as he fights liver cancer, Joe was all heart and one of the true great Heavyweight Champions of all time.

I have never seen anyone come out of a corner as determined and ready to leave it all in the ring as Joe Frazier does coming out for rd 1 in Ali Frazier 1. Man, it alway sends chills down my spine.

My dad was always a big fan of Joe Frazier. Sounds interesting, think I'll watch it with him today.

I prefer FOTC myself, but the Thrilla in Manilla is one of the most brutal fights you will see.

Any younger fans who have'nt seen it...get it watched!

I still don't get how the judges had Ali dominating the fight. Frazier did MAD work. I had Ali ahead by a couple rounds before it got stopped.

Yeah i did too. Ali was starting to land more than Joe especially in the last round, but Joe was always right in it and Ali didn't dominate him.
Both men took their lumps that night. Brutal.
