His claim about Moore-Marciano is actually blown out of the water by his own source.
The guy he quotes as relaying the story addresses it in another book, (Sullivan's book on Marciano - Rock of His Times, I think), saying that Tosches misunderstood or twisted his words.

I think Tosches' book on Liston is BULL****, but I have suspicions that Liston-Clay was fixed.

To be honest, I've always wondered a little about that one.

I dont think Ali threw the Spinks fight. I think Ali was just very over-the-hill and very lazy, out-of-shape. I mean, Evangelista went the full 15 rounds with him a year earlier. Ali was crap by 1978, and he took Spinks lightly.

In what way do you mean a bad stoppage? My recollection is of robinson completely teeing off on a dazed and hurt Turpin and that the fight could have been stopped a few seconds before it actually did

What do you think about the fight between Barbados Joe Walcott and Frank Childs for the coloured heavyweight title?

Some sources suggest that Walcott broke his arm, and some suggest that he quit while ahead.

Incidentaly, if you dont write a biography of Joe Walcott in the next ten years you will force my hand.
