    Today I learned on ESB:

If your guy gets beat down and quits, the fix is in. :good

I thought Thurman would knock him out early and Keith is one of my favorite prospects.

Thurman still would've won regardless. It's the timing and circumstances of the ending that reek of being rigged.

Leave it to boxing fans to see an article right in front of their faces written by a guy who fixed fights acting like the mere possibility of a fixed fight is insane.

Why would the industry be any cleaner now than the 1990's? If anything, it looks like more of the same.

It is entirely possible, you never know in boxing, but most of the guys on here aren't thinking along those lines.they're thinking of a Collazo dive for Thurman's sake.

That part, I don't put much stock in to. Luis was game while the fight lasted. If there was an agreement, it's much more likely it was either extra $$$ or the promise of a career favor in exchange for not lasting past 7.5.

There's the chance there was an angle forbidding Collazo to win, but that's a branch too far into speculation than what I'm really focusing on and would only distract from the (IMO) obvious play at work, which is the under paying off. By bowing out when he did, the fight ends at the right time, Luis gains some stock from the performance, and he goes out in a clean way.

Thurman was going to win it either way IMO, but credit to Collazo for making it tougher than I thought he would.

Wait, is this forum serious about the reaction to Thurman winning almost every round and making Collazo quit in little over half the scheduled fight being some sort of negative performance?!

You guys are a bunch of jokes. What is there negative to say other than maybe a little quip about getting hurt to the body? This is boxing. Everybody gets hurt. He lost one round. Then TKO'd his opponent. Why would you think any lesser of Thurman than you did before the fight? Unless you viewed him as a future God in which case yes, well, you are an idiot.

Maybe because everyone all of a sudden thinks he sucks?

If Floyd did fight him, all you clowns would say how big of a joke it was when literally 48 hours ago you made it seem like "Floyd was running to the hills fleeing the country to avoid the devastating Grim Reaper that is Keith Thurman!!!"

Just like you will get your wish and he will fight Khan. Because all you clowns want to see it and claim he's scared. But the moment the fight is signed, everything changes.

This is the case with every Floyd opponent, rinse and repeat, no exceptions.

it's actually a bad night for the pbc crew since their star prospect got ko'd and their action fighter officially got exposed as a runner.
