I have been thinking the exact same thing and i think in a city like Liverpool it could work because Liverpool has a much bigger hardcore boxing audience than most places.

If there was a monthly show at the Olympia "Battle at the ballroom" type thing that was consistent and had well matched fights at a lower level i think they would pack it out very time even if it wasn't always local fighters. It could be sold as a brand rather than just a one off event
