I damn well know Jimmy Bivins and I am not a nut hugger for saying that Bivins over Calzaghe is absurd.

I gave four at LHW off the top of my head that would definitley beat him, the 3 in Spinks, Foster and Moorer would win by knock out on top of it.

I don't happen to rate old time guys head to head, in which Bivins was not even spectacular in his era, he got a few placed wins in an otherwise standard career.

You know what? I´m also a Calzaghe- fan, but don´t overact now with him compared to ATG´s, he´s also beatable like everyone, or did you forget the Reid- or the Eubank- fights? For me personally, against fighters like Tunney, Moorer, Moore, Charles, Rosenbloom, Loughran, Conn, etc. I give him not much chances...

    Bivins has wins over
    Yarosz
    Soose
    Lesnevich
    Maxim
    Pastor
    Charles
    Loyd Marshal
    Archie Moore
    Compared to Calzaghes
Overatted Lacey & a washed up Eubanks. WOW that qualify's him as an ATG by your standards.

And I don't place ATG's on a pedastool and don't think a whole lot of fighters from the older era's chances against a modern day elite, this goes for Rosenbloom, Conn and Loughran, including Moore.

However, if you will note, I listed that Moorer, Spinks and Foster off the top of my head would KO him. Did I say he was unbeatable, I asserted that Tiger was not in his class and then shot down the Bivins beating Calzaghe theory, big difference.

An ATG can easily get pasted against a non-ATG in the right scenerio, they are not on a pedastool and are mostly there due to accomplishment, this is especially the case for old era fighters being ranked among more evolved beasts.

Oh damn, where did Amsterdam ever say that Calzaghe was an 'ATG'?

    ****, I don't see it?:yep

I said he thrashes Tiger and Bivins... who I presume that you believe only an ATG can beat, wrong wrong wrong.

One question: Why would you favour him for example against a fighter like Billy Conn?

Because. He is superior in every area.

But I know where this is heading and it's going to make go crazy.:nut

Time to head back to the general forum, where an inferior poster like me resides.:yep

    Your right.
Im done wasting my time with this guy. Hes one of these types that tries to hard to get under your skin instead of trying to talk boxing in a seriouse manner. Very closed minded & child like.

Does Calzaghe beat just about every fighter in history, including many, many ATGs -questionmark- Yes he does.

He is Harry Greb done right. His style and versatility mean he can beat just about any fighter with any style at 168 and 175 I assume.

Is it that unfeasible, over half a century on, that Sugar Ray Robinson has been replaced -qm-

I see you did a good job of dodging my question Amsterdam. Just to be fair, I'll post it up again:

Calzaghe would have to fight the fight of his life to win here ,I think he could ,stylistically he matches up well against the 5 7 Tiger,it would be a gruelling fight for joe and he could visit the floor ,after trying to dominate the Nigerian he would revert to boxing ,his hand speed just decides it,Calzaghe by dec.Giardello did well against Tiger, and although I would say he was a better boxer than Calzaghe he wasnt as fast or as big,so thats my thinking.
