Yeah, I rarely make a big thing out of fighters bending the rules unless it's really extreme (like Eusebio Pedroza using Juan LaPorte's nuts as a speedbag and elbowing him constantly, or the disgusting acts of Panama Lewis and Luis Resto). Frazier also used his head. Against Ellis in the first fight, I remember him repeatedly trying to butt Ellis.
Wlads offensive weapons are nothing short of amazing, but his mental strength and lack of toughness is what gives any fighter with a good chin and the will to win, a chance to beat Wlad. There were a few times in the Thompson fight I felt Wlad looked a little out of it, especially right after he got cut, and Thomspon's resume is full of journeymen.
No, the division is truly that bad. I still cant believe Wlad is still around, he really does have Manny to thank for all he did for him.
Thanks Thread Stealer. I know he has seen that before as I myself have posted it at least a half dozen times on here now. Yet he plays selective memory. I couldn't be bothered doing it again. :good
EXACTLY. People look at the fact he's been down, but he's never been KTFO the way other HW champs have. Of recent HWs, Rahman had a MUCH worse chin. You never saw Wlad knocked out cold or right out of the ring!
Oh i see, i must have missed the rule where it says "You're not allowed to hold your opponent, unless both of you are coming forward, then 170 times per fight is A-okay".
