Years from now he'll be looked at as how Pernell Whitaker is now, all this he ducked so and so will be long forgotten especially if he keep his unbeaten record intact and he's got 2-3 fights left in him now and I don't think there's an active fighter out there that can beat him so it's just more cement to add to his legacy.
it will not be forgoten, Floyd will never take the fight with Pac and thats going to cost him big time when history remembers him.. He will be remembered as the fighter who robbed the fans of the biggest fight to be made. But go ahead lie to yourself I know you need to comfort yourself in this regard....
IMO the only legit fighter Floyd ducked/avoided was Miguel Cotto despite the whole thing Ellerbe was saying about Cotto not wanting to fight at 140 but the truth is right after the Hatton fight Cotto was ready to roll but Floyd and his Uncle Roger who rated Cotto very highly at the time thought a short retirement was in order. I don't need to lie to myself, it is what it is. From the Gatti fight to the Mosley fight i've always rooted against Floyd (with the exception of the Judah fight) but he's managed to earn my respect with his in ring skills and anyone not willing to admit he's one of the most gifted and brilliant fighters of the last 15 years is a hater.
Wow, I am a huge hater of Mayweather and I am puerto rican, Floyd Mayweather did NOT Duck Miguel Cotto, Miguel and his uncle made it Very clear that they were not ready.... Whats Floyd supposed to do wait? none of the champions wanted to fight him other than Gatti.... I cant beleive you just posted this ****:-(
its both the fault of Cortez and the time keeper the only reason the time keeper ****ed up, is because Cortez ****ed up, sure he said lets go, and such, but the time keeper isnt trained to start the time when a ref says lets go, he usally waits until the ref instructs the fighters to box... in other words the officials job is to make sure that both combatants get a fair honest shake that didnt happen, No its not Floyds fault, its their fault and they need to be held responsible for that.
@147 he absolutly did not want the fight. Pac's fight with Cotto is what triggered the bloodtest demands because Roger and Snr just couldn't get their heads around how Pacquiao managed to beat seven bells of **** out of a fighter they thought so highly of. But that's irrelevant and only my opinion just like it's probably your opinion Floyd ducked human punch bag and notorious cheat Antonio Margarito. In the end it all comes down to the fact Victor Ortiz let you and the rest of his fans down and let them down badly now you're upset and looking to cling to anything to make yourself feel better.
I just spoke with the Vice Chairman of the WBC they are going to review the tape they say time was not in....:yep
I heard they're still looking for bits of Otiz's chin that shattered saturday night, maybe a tape review can help afterall.
oh wait folks this is a good one know. Mayweather is supposed to check with the ref, Ortiz, and the time keeper to make sure he can hit Ortiz. Because you know fight to the bell and following the refs instructions aren't enough.
You're entitled to so much because you spoon feed Wladimir Klitschko. I don't give a **** who you are. 50 bucks says I've laced up more than you have, so your opinion on anything other than boxing diets = no more important than me or any other poster here.
Once this thread vanishes from the frontpage so will the last of Victor Ortiz's fanbase which consisted of Bazooka, Slugger3000 and the guy who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter movies.
