This is the EXACT opposite of what he's going to do. He's going to use his height to try and fight at range, and will be very worried about getting tagged by Povetkin. If you were his coach, would you tell him to go for an early KO? Wlad has already shown the blueprint for a taller guy - jab, jab, hug.
Trading bombs with Povetkin would be disastrous.
