He doesnt know anything about the sport. He boxed when he was a kid, but so what allot of people have, and if Im not mistaken he had an am's fight. But allot of people have. You need to be a FAN of the sport, and watch it every saturday like WE do. This guy just met Gamboa at Floyd's gym during the cotto camp. And he lied and said Gamboa was his favorite fighter. They asked him what he liked about Gamboa, and he tried to make something up. How can you sign Gamboa when you dont know his powers, and his weaknesses. Like the fact he has a questionable chin, and gets out of position. Their going to throw his little azz in their with Broner, and Broner is gonna STOP Gamboa within 6 rounds. Then their BIGGEST fighter, will have a KO Loss, and the company will already half-way be in ruin. I bet they dont even know that Dirrell has a questionable heart. But You have to be FANS of these fighters, and know everything about them before you sing them and tie them up in contracts cuz I can only see bad things happening with these fighters.

50 is a smart dude, check out his book with Robert Greene - guy that wrote 48 laws of power. Don't judge a book by its cover. I don't know how 50 will do, but I sure as hell am glad another promotion company is in the mix, this duopoly between TR and GB is bad for boxing.

If he runs it ethically, more power to him. We need new blood in this game that actually cares about it if we're going to turn the sport around. And, as much as I love boxing, there's a lot that needs to be changed or improved upon before we can win back the trust of the public so we can create new fans and stop the old ones from leaving because they're fed up with the bull****. Half the boxing fans I know only stick around because they love the sport and put up with the politics, robberies, and bull**** like a battered girlfriend puts up with her drunken ******* boyfriend. I'll give 50 the benefit of the doubt for now because I still believe it's possible to make a buck in boxing as an honest businessman. I hope he can do it.
Starting a war with golden boy was a really dumb move. It's safe to say that TMT will not be doing business with Top Rank either. If they don't put together a huge stable I don't see any TMT fighters getting many great fights for a while.
I agree and I'm not a 50 Cent fan or anything, I actually hate rap music but you have to acknowledge what he has done. Plus his geting into boxing will hopefully attract his hip-hop fans into watching his fight cards and from there attracting more boxing fans which can only be a good thing.
A bit of advice to 50 tho... If he wants to make it bigtime in this type of corporate business he needs to layoff the "Gay" or "Girl" type comments in the longrun. GLAD will be on his ass. (****en opportunists always looking for a wagon to jump on)
