I believe they are paying for the name USADA attached to the testing, makes it sound more legit to people... But I agree, if both are doing what they're supposed to it doesn't matter which one they choose. :yep
:good Props to the #moneyteam for getting the ball rolling on successfully implementing stricter tests and casting a bigger light on cheating in the sport we love.
I'm for it, but it needs to be handled through a commision. For example, when GBP enters into an agreement w/ USADA to obtain their services and have them test their fighters, USADA is ONLY required to release the results, BY LAW, to the client. Not to anyone else. GBP gives the permision to release them to whomever they want. But the fact of the matter is, what happens up until the commision receives the results is not privvy to anyone else.
USADA charged so much because they could. No one else could have done the extra testing. So they capitalized on it and maximized their profits.
maybe not but the facts are, they have caught 2 in boxing with their testing. ..and with usada agreeing to do the testing on winky and quillin then colleting samples then informing them later on that they won't do the testing after all then destroying samples?? :think if TMT will decide to do extra testing, especially for Berto, it shouldn't be USADA.
Don't suck their dick before it's hard Turbo. They haven't done ANYTHING yet. If TMT tests 100% of their fighters, or anyone who works with them, then feel free to congratulate the **** outta them.
Did anyone stop to consider that the reason VADA has cought more boxers was because the boxers tested under it had stuff in their system and those tested by USADA did not?
Whatever happened to that Montoya mother****er? Came up on here causing a ruckus and disappeared without any updates on the GoldenBoy USADA fiasco.
In this boxing world where most STILL use the state commision testing, and with no backlash, how exactly does overpaying just to attach some testing company's name give everyone the warm fuzzies? I know that's nothing but a guess on your part. But lets be serious, most don't give two shits WHO'S name, if any, is attached. Last I checked, there wasn't a single fight poster that read "And Testing By the great USADA!!!"
You gave props to Moneyteam for this Turbo. As I said, they haven't done jack ****. But if that's a ganme you want, why not give all the props to Tyson for wanting Holy tested, or JUDAH for insisting Shane get tested. You know, back when Schaefer said that extra testing wasn't needed.
Thats actually a really good idea. It would remove a lot of peoples suspicions about independent agencies being corruptible (which admittedly, although unlikely, is possible). I doubt the commissions would want to stump up the extra cash though, maybe if the OSDT during training camp was compulsory for world title fights, they could force WBC/WBA/IBF/ect... to pay for it or risk their belt being demoted to a "non official" world title or something along those lines.
It's for the casuals mostly I'd assume... They hear Mayweather is fighting, and using this extra USADA 'Olympic' testing on 24/7 to prove he's not only the best, but he's the best AND clean. That garners more attention and respect from casuals then Peterson and Khan's VADA testing.. I can't say for certain, but I'm guessing if you ask casuals about the Peterson/Khan fiasco who know about it they'd say it was no rematch because Peterson was caught cheating.. They wouldn't attach VADA to it.. Now if you asked about the testing Mayweather takes, they might not know the name USADA but they'll certainly attach 'Olympic' to it, making it sound far more legit to them.
If the USADA testing is so ****, as the *******s like to claim.... Why does Manny refuse (that's right REFUSE) to take them?? ****ing *******s are a joke. DKSAB
