Great comments and questions. Am I excited, yes of course. However I was maybe MORE excited when Haye said he was going to move to heavyweight and that he was going to beat two top ten ranked opponents and then challenge for a title. That became Monte Barrett and a lot of talk.

As to the polite and respectful increasing the excitement, well I remember Spinks/Tyson very well and I was damn excited for that one, also the first and second Bowe/Holyfield fights which had me pumped to the max and the first Holyfield/Lewis match which didn't have a huge amount of bad mouthing going on.

Basically what I'm saying is, Haye has created a lot of distaste with his antics and mouth, which surely have generated interest from people who want to see him silenced, however he COULD have generated interest by talking maybe 50% as much and fighting more and better opposition, thereby definitively creating the feeling he was a dedicated and credible opponent, rather than one who, by his own admission, has talked his way into the position he's in.

I'd also be much more excited if he was going to stick around after the fight and do what he originally said and clean up the division rather than retiring.

However, as you can see haye owes his internet awareness first of all to delusional fans from ireland and UK :deal
while Wlad ist more popular all over the world! by the way disregarded are cyrillic parts from eastern europe where klitschko dominates!

    ...:patsch

So you're telling me that you did all of that research just so you could finally conclude that Haye is more popular and known in the country that he is from?

    ****ing Congratulations, Captain Obvious!

"To be honest at this point I am more interested in Vitali vs. Adamek (which has every potential to turn into a war and slug fest) rather than a chess match between two weak-chinned and hesitant HW strategists like Wlad vs. Haye.[/quote"

    Come on, seriously.

This is your classic troll line...........Hear the exact same stuff about Mayweather from idiots.

It's not really that at all.

When you have guys like Haye and Mayweather, who people just hate, these guys just become fans of whoever their legit rival is...........

They want them to lose. So back the guy who they think can do it.

Haye and Mayweather, and Lebron, and anyone like that are disliked for a reason.

They're cocky black guys, who make winning look a bit too easy

You know, this happens all the time.

Fighters in the states just get underestimated, and mocked, just because they're loud, cocky, people, in a pretty right wing country............

Americans always overhype, and love, the down to earth, "warriors". Guys who do it the "american way".

In America, Adamek is a great fighter, and Hayes an overhyped clown..............Cotto is a legend, and Mayweathers a joke.

Truth is, you have guys like Freddie Roach, who's friends with Wlad, saying he could very well lose it.

Wlad has his weapons. But everyone knows, the minute he takes a big shot, it could end there and then.

And he may be so cagey, and scared of the big shot, that he doesn't even turn up...........

it was so exciting when he pulled out of fights.....

it was so exciting to not fight bums like "the klitschkos do" , because he was gonna bring excitment to the heavyweight division....(bring in the corpse of john ruiz, the a-farce, and the giant tub of **** named valuv who he was gonna hit so many times and put him on the deck....:happy...he is so exciting...
