To Andre Ward: STFU, Kovalev or nobody

Good post, can't argue with this at all. I want them to put in more work in their current weight too.

 

Weight card? I wasn't justifying why he should not fight Kovalev, I wasn't playing the weight card.

 

Stevenson is the #1 guy @ 175lbs. Kovalev will never be as proven as Andre Ward until he beats the #1 guy in his division. Period, end of...

 

how is Stevenson the #1 guy when Kovalev is WBA,WBO and IBF champ? Stevenson has the WBC strap and some paper belts like "lineal" or "ring title"..that's bogus. And while Kovalev is collecting belts and scalps your #1 guy is running scared, fighting tomato cans, refusing any real challenge.

 

Because Stevenson beat Dawson, who beat Hopkins, who beat Pascal - all while Kovalev was still Krushing TOMATO KANs...

 

The lineal title is now apparently more bogus than sanctioning body trinkets :rofl

Dawson beat Hopkins who beat Pascal. Then Stevenson beat Dawson. And guess what. While these guys were fighting each other - Kovalev was still doing nothing other than Krushing TOMATO KANs.

Your so tough giving ultimatums to elite pro boxers on the internet. Scary guy you are.

 

We want to see the best face the best, not fighting weak contenders in a weak weight division.

As a ward fan I want to see him fight Golovkin. Right after Golovkin I want to see him move up and fight Kovalev.

Imagine if Shane Mosley had used that weight excuse and remained at 130. We never would have seen Mosley vs De la Hoya, Mosley vs Oscar, and Mosley vs Cotto.

Enough with the weight excuses. Mayweather and Pac are fighting at something like 30lbs north of where their career started.

 

Stevenson is just another Bute. Look at his defense fights, all meaningless Sukhotsky,Karpency, Bika,Fonfara, Bellew. He is a glass jawed fraud who is running scared because he knows the russians are on to him. Kovalev or Beterbiev will shatter this fool back into pimping women for a living

 

Really because all I ever see u guys talk about is GGG. I never see u guys calling for Kovelev or Stevenson who are much closer to Ward's size than GGG is.

 

Cotto and Canelo will never give Golovkin a shot. Maybe after Golovkin have paid his dues and wait his turn for Canelo and Cotto to finish dealing with each other and Mayweather. Then, maybe golovkin could get a shot at the age of 40.

 

Ward's resume is better than Kovalev's....

 

There is an ongoing discussion between Ward and Kovalev camp on a possible match-up between them in 2016. How many times does that need to be repeated before you guys get it.

These Europeans are great punchers with basic skills. There is nothing for Ward to fear.

At this level skills pay the bills not punching power.
