No, we remember. We remember Jones' career ended in March of 2003. Since then, his imposter compiled an impressive record of 6-5. With more losses by KO then wins by KO. His most notable victory was against a back-from-retirement Tito Trinidad. His second most notable victory is a highly disputed Majority Decision against Tarver. The rest is ridiculous. Hopkins himself wasn't all domination in that same timespan either, going 8-3. His victories include said Tarver (probably past prime) and De La Hoya (probably most overrated fighter of our time). Then he made two guys move up in weight (Pavlik, Wright) and fought at catchweights, yet was crowned Light Heavyweight King, when he didn't fight real Light Heavies. So what we really got here, is two (by now) mediocre fighters getting a prime time spot for what is most likely going to be a very mediocre fight. When was the last time, you saw an amazing and exciting fight featuring B-Hop? (hint: never)
