Well the way you talk about Hatton . . . you are a NUT HUGGER. Did you read my post? What if Hatton after the long layoff . . . doesn't show up as the Hatton we all knew before? What if he is off his timing? What if after 6 rounds he gasp for breath? :think These are real posibilities friend. :yep
They've both had the same lay off, they fought on the same card remember.... What if Hatton turns up and he has no legs??? Ehh? You thought of that?? Listen, I'm going by what we've seen from each fighter in the very recent past. Malignaggi gets drawn into brawls, Hatton is a brawler....which spells bad news for Paulie. Yes, Hatton might turn up and gas after one round, but he's never shown anything to suggest he will, so lets deal with what we know rather than hypotheticals.
When people describe Malignaggi sometimes I'd swear they're talking about someone other than the guy I've seen fight. His arsenal is strikingly limited. He's far from being this 'slickster' and capable boxer he's been given credit for. He's a fencer. Basic. Doesn't use angles for ****.
Yea. Fencer...Great comparison. That said, malignaggi is a smart and quick fencer...There's a possibility he could take Hatton to school if he's on top of his game.
Spot on. Barring the speed, Malignaggi is pretty much made for Hatton and even the speed won't be enough, because Hatton will walk through him.
That's pretty much what I see when I see him fight. I don't know what people are talking about when they talk about his supposed great boxing skills. He has no power, his only effective punch is a jab, he doesn't have much in terms of footwork, he's not that good of a counter puncher, and he gets tagged a lot. In the Ngoudjo fight, Ngoudjo was coming in there winging punches and he was still tagging Paulie.
when i hear alot of "if"s concerning a fight the side with the more "if"s is usually the underdog and usually loses.
He clearly won 4 rounds against Cotto, arguably 5. AND he had a broken jaw. That's a pretty good performance, unless someone believes Cotto is a worthless, no-skilled fighter. I hardly describe Malignaggi as a slick boxer, nor am I trying to "big up" the underdog in this fight. Malignaggi could lose, and lose big. I just believe the no-skilled, zero-powered, limited Malignaggi -as most people describe him- has a decent chance to pull it off. He's got speed, a good jab and a solid chin, plus Hatton didn't look like a "hitman" in his last bout. Sure, Paulie didn't look good in his as well. I just wonder how people who appear so sure that Hatton will "walk through Paulie" would explain a Malignaggi win, if it happened.
A oneway beatdown in favor of Hatton is how I look at this fight. Malignaggi's boxing skill is repulsively overrated, and he has nothing in the form of punching power to make Hatton think twice about letting his hands fly without regard for incoming. .....and Malignaggi has looked slower in recent fights in comparison to pre-Cotto........ A mismatch as far as I can see. Hatton will win inside the distance and do so handily! How anyone can talk the crap Malignaggi has been talking while looking like complete **** in his last couple of fights, is beyond any reasoning.
Not a boxer,,,,OK, sure, then i guess i'm losing alot of money, cause i see paulie out boxing ricky for 12 rounds, an when he does lose a round or two, it just might because he went inside,,,,,,that or took the round off
Off topic: Sup my fellow Marquez fan. On topic: Hatton also looked far from good in his last fight and people claiming he will just run down Malignaggi is also beyond any reasoning. Don't get me wrong, it could prove to be a one-sided fight. My point is just that people shouldn't write Paulie off like he's a nobody. And I'm not even a Malignaggi fan, far from it.
You are kidding yourself. What if, what if.... what if Paul is **** after his fight with Ndou, what if his hands get hurt, what if he can't keep Hatton off him. Get real. You are a Paul NUT HUGGER (pls note the completely unnecessary capitalisation as if to note one is making a profound point, when the reality is far from it).
I'm doing great CX7.:thumbsup Hatton did'nt look spectacular vs Lazcano, but he clearly won a wide decision.....which cannot be said of Malignaggi who more than struggled against a second tier in N'dou.....in fact, I thought N'dou edged the fight with Malignaggi......Paulie was really lucky to have gotten that decision, and he acted as such post fight. Just my opinion, but I'll be more than suprised if Malignaggi is even competitive against Hatton. I'm seeing Hatton just taking liberties with him!
