    Frazier TKO6 Wlad.

A peak Frazier would be an especially elusive small target as he relentlessly bobbed & weaved his way in to land a great deal of debilitating left hooks to the body.
By the middle rounds, I see a Wlad who has been worn-down by accumulation of powerful body punches & dropped at least once previously, being stopped while helplessly gassed on the ropes.

For Wlad to win, he needs a referee who permits a ridiculous amount of excessive clinching & leaning, every minute of every round.

    Point taken.

But what about the fact that Frazier who has been knocked silly around the ring like if he was a blown up rubber doll by a 220 lbs Foreman? Not once but twice. The two fights were pretty much carbon copies, same exact style, same exact outcome. Frazier looked helpless and completely overmatched, no improvement, no strategy.

How did his bobbin' n' weavin' help him against Foreman when he was faced with somebody who had a big advantage in size and reach? And let's remember Foreman was neither an exceptionally fast puncher nor was he technically a smooth and accurate operator. And still Big George had little trouble landing his big shots on the allegedly "super elusive" Frazier who went down a total of 8 times (!) in two bouts.

I know people like to give Wlad **** and Frazier is a legend, however look at it logically. Frazier's defense was leaky and he got hit a lot, he would also be considered a very small heavyweight at a prime fighting weight of 205lbs and standing 5' 11". Frazier's left hook could easily take Wlad out, but you have to ask yourself how easily he going to be able to connect his money punch with such a serious size disadavtange. Frazier also was not very durable against heavy handed fighters.

When it comes to Wlad you can say what you want about his weak chin, everybody knows it's bad. The rest of Wlad is a very complete fighter. His hand speed, footwork, balance and power are comparable with all the greats, and his defense the past few years has been hard to penetrate. He has an extremely diverse arsenal of punches as well.

It pains me to say it but I give the edge to Wlad.

Wlad needs to go another 1-2 fights with some big punchers landing on his chin before the myth about his weak whiskers gets put to bed (or is reinforced).
Frazier is a bit overrated. He was good in Ali's absence against 'left-overs' and fought the greatest fight of his career against an Ali the first time, and then was never again the same fighter. That fight with Ali ruined Frazier a little even though he won (ruined Ali quite a bit too). Frazier never beat another serious opponent again, lost to Foreman twice and twice to Ali in rematches and then retired.... also lets not forget that he is partially blind in his left eye, I'm sure that would really help him stay out of the way of Wlad's right hand.

Lol a foot foot 11 guy who today would be more suited to CW vs Wlad? Ok then lads whatever...

It always makes me laugh how people say he was great because he beat Ali. The same Ali Henry Cooper almost KTFO but was denied because of Dundee.

It also makes me laugh how people say 'Styles make fights' then ignore the fact Ali wasn't a power puncher whereas Foreman - like Waldo - is. Complete selective memories.

But sure sure. The Hobbit KO's Wadlo as people say.............:patsch

"Smoking" Joe, is a workman like INSHAPE all-time great fighter who had one of the best left hooks in history. Yes Wlad is bigger and stronger but Frazier had a heart as big as Russia and would be in Wlad face smothering, countering , bob and weaving all night long. I don't believe Wlad could take several left hooks from Frazier and keep standing.

men the nostalgic views of some guys are diselusional. wlad would completly outclass frazier and win every second of every round and knock him out. in which world are you living? frazier would never ever reach wlad's chin. he would never be able to overcome the jab. wlad 6th round ko

frazier would lose to a couple of guys of today.

Frazier would dismantle Wladimir - all educated boxing fans know this. Waldo is no George Foreman. The only ones arguing for Wlad are his fanboys.

    Funny thread though.

Its obvious that the Joe Frazier fraction brings absolutely no argument why a 205 lbs. 5´10" midget with not the hardest chin who is stylewise in a 100% disadvantage would beat Klitschko, not only beat but convincingly beat Klitschko. That thread shows again how many people simply have no clue what they see and what boxing is about. Frazier beats Klitschko because he is from the 70ies. What an idiotic argument. Brainless.

Frazier has a slim punchers chance if he catches Klitschko early. Otherwise he will get outjabbed outclinched outcrafted outwrestled and finally outknocked.

I smell again that the Frazier fraction is full of Brits and black americans. The obvious "experts" when the word "Klitschko" is around..

Had Peter been a half step quicker he would of had Wlad in serious trouble despite his attacks consisting of wildly lunging forward and throwing ridiculously looping shots.
Frazier is much more than half a step quicker than Sam Peter and actually has head movement, a very different thing than what Peter was "trying" to do.
