After the fight was over it seemed as though Flores had won but I noticed that I scored it 6-6 in rounds. Wilson just gave away too many of the early rounds. It seemed like he was trying too hard to score a k.o and let those rounds slip away. Not a great fight at all but the blame for that would obviously belong to Flores. I'm surprised at the large percentage of people saying the decision was b.s. The score of 118-110 was bad but either man could have gotten the decision so Flores winning was a fair call. I'm assuming since Wilson posts here people were really blinded when scoring the fight last night. I'd still rather watch Wilson again than FLores and I'd think t.v execs feel the same way. Wilson might have to rebuild a bit but if he puts together a small streak of wins again similar to this last one than I'd expect he'd be back in line for a title shot or HBO bout. As for FLores, he might want to be more fan-friendly or he'll be stuck on ESPN forever.
B.J. impressed me as skilled boxer with focus and discipline. He was smart enough to listen to his trainer and stick with his battle plan. He exposed the Ding a Ling Man as a One Trick Pony. I want to see Flores do this good in the future. To hell with the fans who wanted him to slug and offer his chin as a ritual sacrifice to Ding a Ling. The name of the game is boxing. So many fans can't appreciate that. They need to watch UFC, not boxing. Boxing dosen't need dumbed down fans like that.
IMO there's a difference between defense and fighting scared and Flores fought :scaredas: The respect he gave Ding was well deserved, had he stood he knew was getting taken out. Instead of being able to fight in pocket and counter? He R-A-N:good He wont have a prayer vs guys like Haye or Cunningham fighting like that. Props to you, support you're man.
