Briggs twice, Bell, Cunningham, and Ulrich (even in Germany in front of a pro German crowd) They guy fights anyone anywhere and anytime. Don't try to discredit him. He was underdog in the Bell, Cunningham, first Briggs and Ulrich fights. Cruiserweight has a lot quite a bit of quality opponents. The division is really competitive itself too. You don't got fat guys like Peter or tomato can grandpaws. Well id say so yea.... thats because he was uncomfortable at this weight. Why else would he jump 200 pounds? I don't think tho that Kessler Dawson or Calzaghe could take a flush Adamek punch. Just my opinion. His power is underrated overll anyways. No its not. Its really competative wise and im sure the likes of some cruisers can definatly beat the likes of Valuev the WBA champion of the world. I know Wlodarczyk definatly can, thats for damn sure. If a old grandpaw can do it, my boy sure can. You are infact discrediting him in everything that he has so far accomplished. So keep hatin, couse my boy is still the champion of the division. To bad your boy Darnell Wilson got spanked by some Turkish - German wannabe. heh.
It doesn't matter whether he was an under dog or not, that has absolutely ZERO relevance in regards to looking at HOF potential. You need to look at the opponents and the way that he beat them. He beat two contenders (nothing more) in Briggs and Ulrich, with both fights with Briggs being VERY close, especially the 2nd fight. He beat Bell in a good performance, however Bell is nothing more than a very inconsistent, weak world champion, who has never beaten anyone of note (Mormeck doesn't count, neither does Brown as he was not only robbed, but isn't an elite fighter anyway). He beat Cunningham in a close fight, another fighter who hasn't done anything or beaten anyone of note either. All in all a couple of dubious victories, over comp which leaves a lot to be desired when evaluating HOF type accomplishments. What quality opponents? No p4p talent, not future HOF talent, no talented world champs. Just a bunch of decent contenders. There is far more talent at heavyweight overall, looking at the likes of Chambers, Chageav, Povetkin, Wlad, Haye, Vitali... No thats because there were simply better fighters at the lower weights. Hence getting owned by Dawson in embarrassing fashion. Based on what? Dawson has already taken a flush punch from him FFS. Your opinion is hard to take seriously when it is SOOOO heavily biased. See above. Valuev is an extremely weak champion though. Wlad, Vitali, Povetkin, Haye, Chambers, Chagaev would thoroughly beat anyone in the cruiser division. The fact the division is competitive, means absolutely nothing in regards to what talent is there. If anything it shows there really is NO stand out talent, since Haye moved up. I'm not hating, i'm looking objectively at his chances of ever being in the HOF. Something you apparently are unable of doing since your firmly gripping his nuts whilst posting. My boy Darnell Wison... WTF. I'm Australian not American, and have never been an advocate of Wilson. All i have ever done is wished him luck when he posted here. Seriously, what are you on? You need to at least attempt to be objective, all you are doing ATM is making a spectacle of yourself.
Actually Kolodziej looked great last time out. He was actually using his 7-foot jab instead of slugging it out with the Hungarian southpaw. He happened to shut his opponent out in their rematch, what more can you ask for? :huh
A big, undefeated Cruiserweight, 6'5" tall, out of Poland. Try to catch his fights in the spring, he's fought in the US before, but right now is based in Poland. I could shoot you a PM when they come around.
I know it doesn't really matter much, but it still makes a difference in his legacy as a underrated champion. I agree, he is NOT HOF worthy at thios point. but after a few more defenses and wins, he can seal it easily. Don't act like it can't be done. Why don't Mormeck count? He not good enough for you? Or are you leaving him out of the subject? Mormeck was a great champion that was beat by Bell, who was beat by Adamek. Discreditably? LOL please. Im not gonna get into this again. I would, but whatever I wasted my time so much in this type of descussion and I feel no need to anymore, and especially for some newbie. Just see some posts by Cunninhgam fans before the fight (Big_reg, Emanuel_agustus). Just look at the Philadelphia hype. Ps: that kid still owes me a USS pizza. Alexeev and Adamek. Adamek is right now by popular vote in the top 25 P4P best. Stop this p4p bull**** tho, all you boxing fans thinking p4p rankings mean anything are just lame. Thats just a thing made for lower divisions to make fighters look good really. Leave out Chagaev, and the Klitschkos, and Im sure a decent cruiserweight can own them(ie; Haye) Seriously, Valuev is a champion. I will bet my life savings that my boy Adamek can beat that guy with ease. You got champions struggling with old grandpaws. Do you see a, lets take for example, Virgil Hill, comming back from retirement and BEATING Adamek or Jones? Of course not. The competition and quality in heavyweight is low, apart from 3-4 fighters. Adamek was complaining about his weight even BEFORE he fought Dawson. Not that im complaining, im a Dawson supporter, but the Dawson loss sealed his departure from the division. That punch was a good one, but it wasn't good. Dawson was cruising to a win and he got to over confident and underestimated by Adamek power. Havent he done so, the KD wouldnt of really happened. Dawson controled the fight, and won almost all rounds cept for maybe 2 on my card. Though? Well so what? Hes still a champion isnt he? Robbery or not.... he is still considered the top 3 best, being hes a belt holder. Cunningham has a style that could beat Valuev. As would Adamek and even Alexeev and Wlodarczyk. Also, the Chagaev point you mentioned I wont belive in til he fights this Carl guy. I have been following Chagaev for quite a while, and well, if he ever come back to his old selgf, than yea id belive you. No stand out talent is absured. Alexeev and Adamek are there to proove you wrong. Negative. He is NOT HOF worth by any means ATM. I know what it takes to be in the HOF, unlike most ESB posters. Not that I am aiming a insult at you. Talking about Adamek is the HOF is way to early, easpecially at this stage. Im not on anything. I just confused you with a different poster. Darnell Wilson was overrated dude, and even POSTED on this website, which got the girls here on esb like Zakman, ***** all wet, and descided to pick him vs anything. There even were topics of him destorying a prime Tyson. roflz. Even some said he would TKO Arslan. No im not. Im being honest, and im saying things that are on my mind, its a forum so i couldnt care less, lawls. g night dude ill check this thread tomaorw.
I'm sorry, but I am not basing the cruiser division off of one fight...whatever that means. Second, you don't know what I believe. That fight was a great fight. No, beating the champion who was down, and coming on at the end is not showing me who was better. I see you do want to see the Dawson rematch huh?l ol. If that was the case, then all first time challengers who win the title were better than the champions they beat. Sorry but you fail!
This division nedds a rematch. Adamek can fight, I won't put the man down. He is a vulnerable champion who can punch, and take a good shot. But if any fans didn't see his first fight with Cunningham, you missed a good one. I mean truly, why would anyone NOT want to see a rematch...seriously? I know I want to see exciting fights, I want to see how Cunningham is when he isn't rusty. I want to see if Adamek is the true CW champion.
. That is the whole point i have been arguing though, that he isn't HOF worthy. To be HOF worthy, you need elite level opponents. What elite level opponents are in the cruiserweight division?? NONE. Another thing that annoys me is when people don't take losses and extremely close fights into account when looking at resumes. Adamek's resume definitely drops a notch because of this. Mormeck isn't an elite fighter, plain and simple. Another champion who succeeded in a lucklustre division. Mormeck was not a "great champion", he beat a decent contender in Brown and a well past prime Virgil Hill. Some newbie :rofl. I've been on the site since 05, try again. Cunningham isn't an elite fighter, i don't care what his "fans" think, what sort of an arguement is that?? He had trouble with contenders in the cruiserweight division, and ended up losing a tough fight to Adamek. Nothing sensational about the win. Once again, you clearly don't understand the criteria needed for HOF entry, and are assuming beating a guy with a belt is enough. Can you imagine how many fighters they would be inducting into the HOF then?? Popular vote WTF is that supposed to mean? He may be on the very fringe, but even so, there is no one else in the division with such a ranking, and anyone in the surrounding divisions who is ranked higher would either outbox him, or just crush him entirely (heavyweights) due to his severe defensive liabilities. Personally i don't have him in my p4p top 25. Care to post your list up for me? atsch Now you are just embarrassing yourself. p4p is a way of judging talent across all the divisions. Most of the criteria relies on resume and victories in dominant fashion against top opposition. Please explain how that could possible be some way of trying to make the lower divisions look good, especially when two of the p4p top 5 are in the LIGHT HEAVIES!! Haye is better than Adamek, and is better than anyone else in the cruiserweight division. Regardless, he still is very unproven at heavy, far too much so to be talking about him beating guys like Povetkin. Not sure what you are basing your ASSUMPTION on anyway?? Care to explain? Adamek doesn't possess the movement to deal with Valuev. Plus he is already very muscular for a cruiser, he simply doesn't have the frame to become a heavy, he would be far too small. Regardless, no one considers Valuev a genuine champ. He has his belt due to Chageavs inactivity, and a robbery against an old man. He won't have the belt for much longer, and Adamek to win a belt at heavy will have to be beating one of the Klits. A fight which would not go more than 3 rounds against either of them. Chambers, Haye, Povetkin, Arreola, Wlad, Vitali, Brock, Gomez, Solis, Chagaev, Peter. A far better talent pool than cruiser, it isnt' even comparable. Adamek got schooled against Dawson plain and simple. So basically you just confirmed my point that dawson could take Adameks power. Not really sure where your going here... The rest of your post starts to really go on tangents, so i'm going to keep it simple. No one considers Valuev top 3 in the heavy division, belts don't mean ANYTHING. All tru boxing fans know this. You say you knwo what it means to be HOF worthy... How about you prove it. Tell me who Adamek would need to beat to be inducted? For the most part we are agreeing that he is DEFINITELY not worthy now. The major difference in opinion is your inaccurate assesment of the heavyweight division, in comparison to the cruiserweight division. Especially when comparing the abilities of the top fighters.
He's not close to being there yet. How do you get in the hall of fame without beating a hall of famer, or even an elite fighter? Bell is a fighter that flattered to deceive overall and looked woeful and distracted in that fight after his inactivity. Cunningham...meh he's okay. Flores is a complete unknown, really. Adamek could do it, but in reality he needs things in the division to hot up. He needs Alexeev to get a big name for himself and then win that fight. Then he'll have to beat a lot of contenders and defend all the belts over a period to get in on consistency and depth of resume. That's my standards anyway, it seems easy to get in the HOF these days so who knows.
Maybe ...... but I`m not rhinking that Valuev will keep title soo long. He is over, Chagaev will kick his ass again .
