Anybody ever seen this bout? I am about to get it and I've heard it wass one of the most action packed bouts in ESPN's history.
I have the last four rounds of this bout, and if the first 8 rounds were anything like the last four I saw then it certainly was one of the better action fights ESPN has put on. Tommy Cordova was one guy who couldn`t be in a bad fight if he tried, same goes for Roach. Is the copy you are expecting complete by the way?

I spoke to Freddie Roach about the Cordova fight, and Tommy. Freddie told me, sadly, but not surprisingly, considering how Tommy fought, that he ran into him several years later and the beatings had really taken their toll.
Mr Garfield was it true that Cordova had an insane amount of stamina allowing him to throw numerous punches?
I can't speak for Cordova's stamina, C33, but whatta heart! He kept walkin' in, puttin' on pressure, throwin' throwin' thrown', no matter how hard he was blasted, and he couldn't be missed. As if missing him was an insult.
If Cordoba had a bit more power and any modicum of defense, he would have won a few titles. It's unfortunate that he faded so quickly. I don't think he even reached his prime before he was done.
Cordova's fights with Seabrooks, Roach, and Ruelaz all took on a similar pattern. Cordova would pressure his opponent into the ropes, and fire punch after punch, while eating counter after counter in return. When he was at his best, he'd soak up the punishment that he received, and simply keep firing away, and his opponent's never seemed to be able to keep up with his volume based attack. One of my favorite action fighters from the '80's
