I suggest a South Asian caning for the two dipsh*ts who voted Williams. Unless they were joking, in which case it's all good.

This thread is close. 76 more votes for Williams in a row, and it's dead even.

The difference is in there boxing skills. Hearns wasn't just some puncher, he was a boxer/puncher. Hearns boxing skills>>>>>>>>>>Williams. On top of that he had more power, his jab is 10X better, and he didn't lack any defensive liabilities like Paul Williams does. The point is Hearns was a more polished boxer. There is hardly any technical flaws in style, while Williams has plenty to improve upon.

Hearns in his prime was just way more of a mature and stronger fighter than Williams is now. Tommy moves better, hits harder, and is more versatile. Not even a contest.

Although I do agree that Williams is a great prospect and his skills can be developed into something great years down the road but he would get flattened by the motor city cobra.

A "master boxer" who won a close fight over Margarito. Hearns would knock Margarito clean out, and Paul Williams comes no where close to winning a decision over Hearns.

    Close poll, by the way.
