I think Floyd would use speed and excellent boxing.
Both great fighters, but I think Floyd would be able to neutralise Hearns good work and think would be the one doing alot of the hurting

i would bet the kitchen sink that 140 provodnikov knocks 160 peak hearns head off within 4 rounds the minute his left hook connects

provodnikov obviously isnt on may or pacs level- just proves styles make fights

bottom line- styles make fights

pacquiaos straight left is still the best weapon ive seen 147 and below- yes, even ahead of mays pull counter, because the pull counter doesnt actually do any damage

hearns eats that shot and he has a glass chin- i can see a prime pacquiao ktfo of hearns

hearns is floyds worst possible matchup ever- maybe it isnt fair but floyd losess 100/100 to hearns

i can see any argument for floyd over leonard and duran- i might not agree but i can see the arguments for them

but against hearns? no way

i would like to know how anyone who picks floyd- explains to me what tools floyd has that could work against hearns

hearns habit of leaving his hands down were only dangerous against power punchers

I honestly am not sure who would win. Tommy Hearns could outbox anybody and he outfoxed master boxers. Mayweather is the best boxer at adapting. If pushed I would pick Mayweather. Hearns was not able to stop Benitez and Leonard which I think is instructive.

Hearns has a good chance of bombing him out but Floyd can carry a split decision if it goes to the late rounds.

still, it'd be likely never to happen, Floyd too scared for a prime Tommy - though there are different levels of being cowardly, Floyd would never be as terribly cowardly as to call out a 40something greatly faded atg Hearns like some cowardzaghes like to do.
