There was a lot of talk a while back about these two fighting each other, I have to admit until last night i knew nothing about McCarthy but now i see why Stevie dodged him tbh. I like big Stevie but McCarthy is just pure class and imo he would stop Simbo in the mid rounds. I'd like to hear Billy's thoughts on it now Stevie is back training with him but imo Stevie should look at other options and stay away from this kid.
simbo struggled with the macho man, mcarthy is alot better. simbo stopped by ****inson who looked very limited there tonight, but tommy looked sharp and clever.
Ya Simmons did the right thing, getting smashed by usyk mean he can pull a Paul smith and say ' i got beat but it was only by the best in the world, im world class' When McCarthy smashes him up he has no where to go I remember one thread on here that a lot of fans voted Isaac chamberlain as a better 200 pound prospect than McCarthy, it was hilarious
Tommy was impressive on sat, simmo had weight issuse before the ****inson fight and wont ever have them again, hes already only 8lbs off the limit with 7 weeks before he fights, thankfully his attitude is 100% and is very fit and will be ready for sparring this week or next,so he can put what weve done in the gym into practice with regards to fighting Tommy i dont think simmo would have any objections it really depends what he and his management team think
