The link Ironmarc posted about the book doesn't seem to work, not that I'm doubting that the book is legit. I've had more than a few laughs at Morrison's expense, due to the fake pecs, fake fights, mug shots, and HIV denial, but he seems like a decent guy who just made some poor decisions, and this must be hell on his family. I hope Tommy and his family know peace.
I saw this and just wanted to clarify that I am Tom's 1st wife and the person who you see in the HBO pre fight special when he fought Lennox Lewis and not the Dawn who married him in Mexico. I have kept my silence for years for personal reasons however I don't want to be confused with someone that I am not. I was married to Tom from May of 96 until September of 2000. I first met Tom when I was 14 years old and we dated a little in high school. He is most definitely a very unique individual and would stop at nothing to get a good laugh out of me. I spent many years with this man, good and bad. Life with him got to the point where in order to save my own life and sanity, I had to walk away. It has taken many years but it does sadden me to hear how he is doing. I was told by a hometown friend of mine in Jay that they recently watched some youtube videos of Tom and saw me which led to me getting on google and wow, what a blast from the past! It seems like a lifetime ago. This also led me to discovering a book that may be published which I was not aware of. Regardless, my life is as it should be now. I am married to a very good guy, (who is only married to me) and he has given me an amazing and beautiful little boy who is about to turn 5. It is difficult to get on here and throw myself out there because I know how critical people can be especially about things they really know nothing about, be judgemental, etc. But this is me, Dawn Michelle.
Hi Dawn, welcome to the forum. What was some of Tommy's hobbies outside of boxing? When is the last time you talked to Tommy? As you can see the rumours are that Tommy is in very bad shape and near death. What have you heard about his health? Thank you
Thank you Terry! Honestly I have not spoken to him in person since the day of our divorce which was in September of 2000. I have heard the rumors as well and I prefer to not comment on the state of his health because I do not know first hand and I also respect that it is not my place to share that information. As for his hobbies outside of boxing from the years that we were together, he shared my love for animals and we had several which included monkeys, exotic birds, cougars, a leopard, domestic cats and lots of dogs! Riding four wheelers, hunting, a little fishing, etc. The Tom that I knew was a very generous person with a big heart whose poor decisions led him down a path of destruction.
Hi Dawn. Morrison claimed in an interview around 98-99 that he still boned his wife without protection. Can you confirm this?
Sounds like his life paralleled his boxing career. Big heart, poor decisions led to two of his losses. Mercer he dominated the fight until he punched himself out. Bennt thought he had him ready to go got reckless and TKO'd.
Well this normally would be inappropriate question, but considering HIV yes, then NO, then Yes, Then No. It has more to do, with some one wanting to be informed (pardon my ignorance please) about a very serious health issue that effects every one in this day and age. There have been alot of advances in maintaining and controlling HIV. But one issue that is rarely discussed is intimacy with a partner once one partner has tested positive. Not trying to be a pervert but as a married man, my self, and know that ***ual intimacy is very much part of a marriage, how does the HIV affect it.... the fear of transmission?? hindrance?? Does the dynamic of the relationship change? emotionally? psychologically? (*** is not just physical) I dunno maybe its just me. Not being crass or trying to be and if you are offended I really do apologize, it was not my intention But with alot of stuff Tommy said publicly on record pertaining to his condition and lifestyle situation, people are wanting to know. Not because we care how he sleeps with his wife, but because alot of us are ignorant how this affects people..... with fear of transmission of the Virus particularly. Granted we probably know more now in 2013 of HIV that we did in the 90's when Tommy went through his ordeal. Again my apologies if you are offended, if you do not respond and never post on here again I'll understand.
There's three things i know for a fact help AIDS victims: high doses Vit C, MMS (Jim Humble's chlorine dioxyde) and cannabis as adjuvant therapy to improve quality of life. I hope someone can relay this to Tommy, as mainstream medecine does everything to bury these alternative remedies.
The longest study of HIV discordant couples showed no transmission over ten years of 100 something couples having unprotected oral, vaginal, and anal ***. So who gives a ****, if he boned his wife without protection. There is also no documentation he ever tested positive, just hear say. Nor was he properly diagnosed. Crystal Meth will make the tests react positives at a very high rate, as will other things. Morrison admittedly was living the fast life. It's the doctors job to rule out the other things that can make the assay react positive. It is the problem you have when none of the tests detect anything specifically.
Are those the same studies claiming the HIV virus cannot survive more than one minute exposed to ambiant air ? It's all bull****. 15% of all infections cannot be explained by rational means. There have been infected 2 year olds contaminating their siblings. Did they have ***ual relations ? Did they do drugs toegether ? The HIV virus is much more resistant and infectious the authorities would want you to believe.
Maybe Dawn can put something to rest: whether or not Morrison has HIV/AIDS. I firmly believe that he does, but maybe she can end the debate.
