Tommy Morrison vs Alexander Povetkin

Povetkin is a bit better overall, better chin, better stamina, good combos,no glaring weaknesses whereas Tommy was a dangerous puncher mostly with the left hook, but lacked a little in chin and stamina at top level.
Tommy was a good puncher so he could put AP in trouble, but Povetkin can ride it out.

I'd pick Alexander in eight rounds.

 

Agree with this.

I'm one of the ones that thinks Morrison was world class, but his one problem was taking punishment. He was a big hitter so I guess he has his chances, but overall Povetkin has proven himself at a higher level and is the tougher, more versatile fighter.

 

I agree with the poor stamina and chin but Tommy had defence and could box some.

 

I like Tommy and have seen plenty of his fights, his defense was average at best. It seems like he tried to incorporate a diverse defense, but he just didn’t have the reflexes imo

 

Old Povetkin who was less durable couldn’t take those shots from Price and Whyte but Wlad has a nuclear left that he stood up to. He has a great chin and Tommy has no chance of KOing him.

 

Povetkin wins via what could only be described as a hate crime.

 

Povetkin more likely wins, but I do think Morrison is capable of beating the Russian.

 

If 31-32 years old Povetkin then most likely Povetkin.
36 y.o and older Povetkin no. Tommy ofc might had puncher's chance vs anyone from current TOP 10.
Povetkin when he was 31 - 32 already was damn experienced, more experienced than Tommy, more versatile.
