I remember the Morrison vs Vaulin fight. I think Vaulin like Sanders was a south paw. Vaulin exposed Morrison that night. Morrison got luck when Vaulin quit after taking a body shot.

Best guess is if Morrison and Sanders meet, I think Sanders would take him out. This would be a wild west gun fight. In such a situation I'll go with the guy with the style advantage, the quicker hands, and the better defense. Both guys could knock each other out so itÂ’s a question of who lands their best first.

Morrison is cleary the better all around fighter, and sooner or later that left takes Corrie out!

Sanders is bigger, faster and more accurate. Morrison crumbled when he got socked hard, and Sanders took a good punch. Of course Tommy has a chance but imo Sanders lands first, and harder. Early KO, rounds 1-4.

Of course if we want to put a finer point on the matter :

It's clear who does MUCH better against the common opponent.

Common opponents are generally a poor indicator of a potential match up

Well, fair enough, the version of Puritty that Morrison faced was still somewhat green, but it illustrates their approaches to a common opponent and how they fared.

Sanders mostly tried to outbox Ross (and just about whitewashed him) whereas Tommy tried to blast him out and nearly got stopped himself. You can see Sanders has a mobility edge on Tommy as well as a large speed edge. Sanders can take Ross' punch and Tommy can't. I also think Sanders' straight left is a faster and more accurate punch than Tommy's left hook, which is in itself a devastating shot, let's be fair. Morrison uses a more of a straight in bob n weave approach and Sanders works off the jab and lateral movement. I guess its possible that Tommy gets into a firefight with him and lays him out, but I'd still favour Sanders.
